Any Decent course tells you on hole plate the yardage. Get the hint. Beginners course. Photo submitted by DavidLaDuke on 04/01/2015
Never again!
This course simply refuses to cut there rough to make it enjoyable for the amateur golfer. You can follow your ball in the air, lands in the rough, very difficult to find. If you are a pro, and hit all of your shots perfect, you'll like it. Done with this course
Greens were very good, fairways were in good shape.
Simple and Straightforward
Love playing Boone Creek. It is a simple, straight, fairly easy course that allows you to brush up on your game. Fairways and rough is forgiving and the greens are in good shape always. The pace of play is fantastic considering there are 3 9 hole courses rather than 1 18 hole. The prices can't be beat and the practice area is great. I'll be playing here more this year.
A day of golf is better than almost anything else.
Played with my adult son on an overcast Sunday morning. It was our 1st time at this course. A few more sign posts to direct golfers to the correct 9-hole section was needed. Also, it isn't obvious where the next hole was when coming to intersections on the cart path.
Playing the middle tees, the course has many "short" holes less than 340 yds and a few too many around 315 yds. We moved back to the back tees after a few holes. The course is still pretty wide open so it was a pleasure to play. The greens were in very good condition.
we will be back.
Affordable and nice condition
I'm new to the area and I'm thrilled to find a course that's in nice condition at an affordable price
The greens
The greens at Boone creek are beautiful. Good speed and very true.
They sent a sixsome out on a Sunday
A beautiful Sunday for golf.
We were told upon checking in that things were running around 15-20 behind, as they were waiting for carts to come back in. No big deal.
Sent out to play the Prairie course then over to Creekside to finish our round. It was around the 3rd hole on the front side when we asked the group ahead of us "did those six guys in the group ahead of you tee off as six?" 'yes'. Are there people in front of them?" 'Yes. the group of six has had to wait on the tee box also'
So we didn't make a big deal of it and figured we would ask the ranger when we saw him.
By the time we got to the back, they started to slow down...probably because of the drinking (they also started playing their music on their radio louder as the round progressed) We never saw a ranger, surprisingly this on a Sunday.
By the time we were done, the group that was in front of us quit playing..around the 16th hole. On the 17th, the group behind us had enough and they quit.
Overall, we had a good time out there, but i have never seen any golf club let 6 guys play in one group...especially on a Sunday, and it wasn't like they hooked up later in the round. These guys were sent off like that. Ridiculous. Last time playing Boone on a weekend.
Challenging course for a great price
The tale of 2 different 9's. If you can keep the ball in the middle and out of the long grass you are good on this course. It is challenging and you can keep your driver in the bag most of the day. Well worth the drive for the cost.

Very good condition, pace of play excellent for Sunday afternoon! Very good value!
Hot Deal
I was lucky to play with some nice guys during my round. Although being paired up with a foursome was not appreciated. I can complete this course in under 3 hours tee time was 11:30. This experience was frustrating and 6 hours was not on my agenda. Also the starter sending to many groups off on one side was not very smart. This could of been avoided as this course has 27 holes. I don't think I will golf at this location again. I feel pairing up the golf now customers creates issues and low class.
To be fair, being paired up with others isn't "low class," its smart course management to improve pace of play as well as to maximize the number of paying players on the course at one time. When I book a tee time and it's anything less than a foursome, I EXPECT to be paired up with others if it's a busy day. As far as the 27 hole comment, I've played out at Boone for the past 4 years. There is a course rotation where one 9 hole course is for those only wishing to play 9 holes. The other two 9 hole courses are for those wishing to play 18. The courses rotate based on the day of the week. Therefore, just based on that, you can't send out people playing 18 holes out onto the course that is designated for 9 hole play on that given day. You would end up with a disorganized mess.
Layout forgiving
Good condition for late April.
Good course to play anytime especially early in season when you're a bit wayward due to winter layoff.
Fair price.
Good pace.
Good for those learning. Just hope u remember to rake ur footprints from traps.
The course is close to home. I only golf there, when golfnow has a great rate. They charge Way too high fees otherwise for this course.
"sorry about the pace of play"
That really doesn't address my complaint. My complaint is that a golf course which was booked solid on a Sunday allowed SIX golfers to go out in a group; this being right around noon.
I don't have to explain to you how wrong this is, but since you replied as you did, i feel the need to pound this point home.
Along with that, it was Sunday and there was no ranger. Why? You have one during the week when things are slow, why wouldn't you have one when you are at your busiest? Was your ranger afraid that people would ask him "what in the world is going on up there??"
Your poor management that day caused several groups to quit play before they ended their rounds. Hopefully the group of six greased the palms of the starter and made somebody happy that day.
