Mt Prospect Golf Club

Mt. Prospect Golf Course is the best public golf course in the northern Chicago suburbs. It is extremely well maintained, has a variety of demanding fairways, and the greens are absolutely challenging because of their replicating of famous holes around the world.

Been playing MP for years and never saw play as slow as it was Friday. 4 hours and 50 minutes is not enjoyable golf. Tracked down a ranger on 16 tee where we waited 15 minutes to tee off. On 16! He seemed to take note when I said we teed off at 10:10. There are always rangers on the course and there had to be a group way off pace. Again, this was a 1st at MP but did not promote good golf to be played.

Played here quite a few times, greens and cup placement add to the challenge here. Staff are always friendly and they have great warm up putting greens, bunker shot area, and driving range. Definitely worth the drive from tbe city. Well worth the time!

The course it nice, the practice area is great. Pace of play is terrible! Always packed $40 for 2 people to ride on top of fees.

Greens are true and fast but get a lot of play. Tee boxes can be chewed up on par 3s. Sand is good. Rough is thick, track is kinda tight. 2:40pm tee time, finish @7:20pm. A father and daughter in the group in front left after 14.

I decided to play this course again after not playing it for 5 years and realized why I stayed away. The greens are HORRIBLE however designed these should be fired and banned from golf, completely stupid onjalations,hills,moguls or whatever you wanna call the greens were designed. 16 th green what a joke, others have burn marks from lawn mowers and so dried out since water doesn't stay on grass from the bowl design greens....... seriously you can make greens resilient and tough to protect the layout better but to have them basically be like a Clown type miniature golf putting experience is so bad!!

Go play Fox Run GC instead of playing Mt. Stupidity GC!!

First time playing here, probably won’t be back. Overall layout was kinda fun with tight fairways and short par 4s that make you think about course management. Fairways, rough and bunkers in good shape. Greens were kind of a joke. Designed by someone who thought they were being clever. But end result is basically a mini golf style approach to the greens with multiple valleys and levels and bowls on every green. 1 or 2 is fine but 8 of 9 greens were over designed and over thought. But even worse were the greens conditions. Can’t control peoples etiquette but apparently no one who plays here fixes their pitch marks. 10-20 deep marks on every green combined with the gimmicky designs made them miserable. Made the handicap system of difficulty irrelevant because every green could add 1-2 strokes purely on design and poor conditions even if you played holes perfectly and putted well.

Mt. Prospect is one of the best golf courses around the northern Chicago suburbs. It is well maintained, fairways are beautiful and the greens can be challenging! Highly recommended to all golfers!!!!

Took a few holes to adjust to the really quick greens. Needed some water, but overall, had a terrific round.

This course is a bit more strategic and demanding then the average muni golf course. The course has a great design and flow. The condition of the course was very good with a few exceptions (bare patches) on some fairways. The greens were in excellent condition and the contours made for some very challenging putts. All in all, a very enjoyable round on well maintained and nicely designed course.

This was a solid course. It was not overly challenging but certainly presents some difficulty and was in decent shape. The course layout is pretty fun and will keep you focused on what is in front of you. While the course was in mostly decent shape, it was a little chewed up and rain had saturated most fairways, some bunkers were flooded. I would likely play this course again.

Golf course has large undulating greens, many target shots and waste areas not recommended for high handicap players mounds and elevation changes are difficult to navigate on many holes, several badly designed holes as well.
