About
Arlington Lakes Golf Club is situated amid the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Locals treasure the course as one of the area's hidden gems. At 5,331 yards from the back tees, this par-68 layout is on the shorter side but don't underestimate its level of difficulty. Besides the mature trees that frame many of the holes and 14 lakes that come into play, there are more than 100 strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout also features small, sloped greens that demand accuracy but you can take comfort in the fact that there are no doglegs. With strategic shot-placement and a bit of luck, there are some birdie opportunities available. The shorter length of the golf course will appeal to beginners but it's versatile for more advanced players to enjoy as well.

First Round of 2026
Our round was delayed because of lightning in the area but the staff was great. We were the first group to start once the weather was clear. It rained a bit but not enough to stop playing. It was cart path only but the course was in good shape. We finished our round in under three hours! Love it!!
Great course I did not know it existed
Nice course to walk. In good shape over the winter. Staff friendly and all good. A lot of water, more than some courses in the area. Only played 9 holes. looking forward to the back nine.
Nice course
Nice course, not as long but challenging. Water on a lot of the holes so you need to be precise. Some fairways are bowling alleys with water on both sides. I loved the challenge. Greens was fair at this time of the year. Crazy pin placement though🙂. Overall 👍🏾👍🏾
Nice course overall. It’s very close to me so I visit often. Staff is friendly and accommodating.. Good value for the price. Grounds program could be better.
Distance isn't a problem here...
Obviously this course is short, but the greens are pretty sloped here and there. If you're good at your short game, this course isn't that bad. But if you're just a distance person and you haven't worked on your short game/putting, this course is going to be a bit of a troublesome endeavor. Normally I'm not a double bogey player, but I had two here, and also two birdies (mostly pars otherwise)... again, some of the greens are challenging, and downhill slopes are crazy fast. It's like they put hard greens on a short course on purpose just to mess with you. :)
Top notch course
I booked this course on GN and when I tried to book it there was a glitch in the system. GN said that the tee time was no longer available so I booked another course to play the same time. The day of the tee time I got 2 emails telling me my tee time is booked at 2 courses at the same time. So I called both courses let them know what happened. Arlington lakes didn’t hesitate to say they will refund it. They understand this happens. Complete professionalism! (The other course the complete opposite) Because of that I came to play here. What a great choice that was! The course was well up kept, the greens were well taken care of, pace of play was quick, and the staff went above and beyond to let me know they would have just canceled if I played the other tee time. A lot of staff on pro shops of other courses don’t have this type of of attitude any more. I will for sure be back and I would recommend you play this course because of the excellent customer service, great atmosphere, top notch grounds keeping and all around good experience!
His attitude!!!
The man who came to let the severely handicapped person needs some training in public courtesy. It was either the 2nd or 3rd hole and he walked over to let us know why I have my cart closer than recommended for a handicapped person??? He did have the mannerisms to talk about it because he was an authoritarian and could not could not take the answers provided to him.
At the beginning of back nine the lady on the 10th TEE was extremely friendly and super nice. Wish there were more of them in the world so you can enjoy the game even if you are struggling with your breathing because of Stage 4 COPD!!!

Staff great, pace also great. Greens were a little banged up from golfers not repairing and perhaps the use throughout the Summer season.

Great staff inside and outside the club house.
Course was in decent condition; greens were a little banged up in spots where players did not properly repair. Pace of play was a little slow at times as one group of older players were not attempting to keep pace. Overall, very nice afternoon of golf and I would play here again
