Old Orchard Country Club

Very disappointed. I’ve been playing this course for over 30 years. Since the park district has taken over this once treasure it has continued to decline. There is less and less attention payed to the details that it takes to run a quality course. Greens don’t get cut often enough. There are no attendants to clean up leaves. I work at another north suburban park district course, have to say they are running this track into the ground. Others are updating their courses, Schaumburg, Northbrook, Highland Park, Glenview, Wilmette, Mount Prospect. Seems like there’s a pan to run it into the ground and sell to developers. Very sad.....

Great all around course. But I would not pay$85 to play. Worth $50. I play there a few times every summer. Some of the holes have houses very close. Keep it straight:)

Great course, and awesome conditions for this late in the season. Only complaint is there was an additional $20 riding fee/player we were not expecting. Yes $20/player, not per cart.

At the 14th hole and 4 1/2 hours into the round, we decided to call it a day. Rangers did nothing to speed up the play.

1st timer. This course gave Chick Evans a run for the money, and it was more expensive. No even tee boxes. Course felt condensed. Not all narrow, but close together. Some difficult holes. A lot of geese. Greens slow. Course play was fine.

The course was in excellent condition and except for a slow twosome in front of us everything was fine.

Sunrise 6:20am, my tee time =6:10am, yet tee times for 5:40am, 5:50, and 6 were accepted yet couldn’t start until 6:10 due to the sun of course. Poor planning.

I think the head groundskeeper spends more time writing fake reviews than working on the course.

Bring extra long tees. The tee boxes look like the rough but the rough looks like asphalt.

The course does have a scenic view of the TJ Max parking lot!

A high school team was injected at the 10th between regular golfing groups. Groups who finished the front 9 before the team had to wait for more than 30 mins to tee off on the 10th. I was playing single and my round took 6 hours! Good putting green but terrible driving range.

Who wants to walk through goose crap on a course that has not been mowed in a month? You can enjoy the scenic view of the 1950s clubhouse on 18 while you sift through the range balls which have not been picked up since spring. Craptacular..

Decent course, nowhere close being worth $65 per golfer. Course was in decent shape at best, tee boxes were not well cut, greens pretty slow even as it warmed up. Course pretty vanilla for the most part, not very well maintained.

Watch out the $ 65 rate does not include a cart. it is $ 20 bucks more per person. $ 85 bucks.... for Sunday at 9 am tee time. Not worth the money. Chalet Hills & Foxford Hills in Cary, IL are both cheaper and better courses. Maybe I am just spoiled form over the years of playing & living in Cary.

Great pace of play, never waited to hit with a 6:30 am tee time, well spaced. Fair course, not particularly challenging, the Par 3s are a bit long relative to challenge of other holes.

Paid 70 ish for this course. Should be worth 35. Not terrible but the pictures make it look like medinah. Just not worth the money and the holes are on top of eachother. Maybe just play the back 9

First time playing Old Orchard. It's a challenging course, for me at least (10 handicapper), and can definitely be confusing getting around to the next hole. As for the course conditions, the tee boxes were the biggest problem. They seemed really nice, but were actually really squishy. You'd place a tee and your feet would sink a few inches below–it was strange. Pace of play was slow, but I'd chalk that up to the extreme heat. It's a pretty course overall. But cart and 18 holes set me back $85 and I think that's a little steep for this course. It's nice, but that's a little too much for me.

Terrible course condition. There were no staff on hand and the value of the course for the money is absolutely awful.
