Old Orchard Country Club

Upon showing up, the starter was friendly as he greeted me. The pro shop check in was smooth and professional. I actually got out early and had a great round on a gorgeous and extremely well maintained course. Other than grounds keepers being in the way the first 5 holes, it was a nice, comfortable round of golf. I was very impressed, as it was my first time here. Will be back again.

You can tell that at one point, this was a booming country club... However, this course is a shell of what it used to be.

$65 is a steep price for this course. I would play it again at a considerable discount, but not $65.

Rough is long and unkempt. Difficult to find balls, which slowed the pace of play down. Shaggy greens - Several putts redirected by ball marks that weren't fixed, and hardly any putts broke at all.

9/10 traps you see are filled with wasps. I hit the ball in a few traps, and it was pretty insane to see how many were in there. I had to take an unplayable every time.

We didn't see a beverage cart the entire time we played. No starter, which caused confusion at the tee box.

It would be tough to get me back to this course.

I have played this course once before. It is a fun course on many holes and it requires some thinking on where to place your drives if you want to have a chance to hit the greens in regulation. Most of the greens are small so must hit straight shots. A couple of holes are boarder line unfair for driving such as holes number 9, 12 and 18 all from the back tees . I pared all three holes but had to hit perfect drives on each to do so.

Fairly difficult due to tight fairways, protected flags and trees and water everywhere. The grounds were well maintained but the tee boxes should be flatter and mowed down. Rough was very thick, but I guess that's my fault for being in there in the first place! I would recommend this course to mid to low handicappers.

Course was in good shape, the pace of play was fantastic in that we played in 3 hours. We are mid to high handicappers so all courses are a challenge, but this course is fair. For the time of year the course is in good shape.

I had not played this course in years. Narrow fairways will challenge most golfers. Course in Great shape greens are medium to fast and run true. I really enjoyed playing here, so much so that I'm coming back again next week. A hidden gem.

Surprise February weather led everyone and their brother to come out for a round. There were groups on the tee sheet every 10 min which led to a 5:15 round. Acknowledging the course wouldn't be in the best condition in Feb, the fairways were decent, greens understandably bumpy in spots. No rakes for bunkers, so by the afternoon everything was all ripped up. Annoyingly, no tee markers, no trash cans out. No marshal to push groups to move it along. Holes are pretty close together, so lots of errant shots.

Seemed a bit steep in price compared to other local options the same day. Wanted to try a new course, but don't think I'll come back.

This always lives up to the standards it's been setting for decades. The greens are in great shape as are the fairways and they even take the time to blow the leaves Into the rough. I played this course a few times a season and I never get tired of it.

The course was in good shape for the time of season. Greens were true and fairways in decent shape. There wasn't any sand on the cart to repair divots though....replace your own I guess. There was some water to get you in trouble but not overwhelming. Overall it was challenging and fun. The greens fee with cart was around $43 ea....not bad for prime time.

The course design was awful. Every hole is on top of each other. Going from the 3rd green to the 4th tee we realized we were driving across another fairway while a group was trying to hit.

The course was in decent shape but the idea that we payed $68 to play is a joke. I wouldn't pay more than $45-50 at the most, even on a weekend.

Weather was 90 degrees. No beverages on course. No starter or marshals on the course. Course is very poorly marked as for distances, water hazards etc. The GPS is archaic at best. Luckily I had my own GPS to navigate. The rough just off the fairways and greens were ridiculously long. People searching for balls in rough slowed down play. Many singles and twosomes should have been paired together. The positive is the greens were terrific. One of the best in area. Many other courses in area are a better value.
