Friendly staff and course
Our father/son foursome enjoy the friendliness of the location, staff and course: the course itself feels removed from the area due to the elevated height . Looking forward to see it when construction is completed.
Nice course slow play
I played willow hill many times but lately they have raised the price so it’s no longer a good value compared to other nine whole courses in the area
Compared to Tam, Billy Caldwell, ect it’s about 15 dollars more.
The pace of play is slow as well many new or challenged golfers on course playing from incorrect tees it you can’t get there in two shots on a par 4 move up.
I hope they have some better prices in the fall then I will play it again but it’s not worth more than 24 bucks to walk

Poor Conditions
Played here a few years ago had the feeling of Scottish courses. Played last month and was embarrassed at the poor conditions. The “dirt” traps were a joke. More sand in my yard than the traps. The tall grasses were cut down to where there were bare spots.

A nice surprise
I’ve been playing this course for 25 years, it’s a simple 9 hole course that was never in good shape. But I played it this morning and it was in the best shape I’ve ever seen it in. The greens were in great shape, ball marks were repaired, bunkers were raked, and no goose crap on the fairways. A nice Surprise!

A HAPPY OCTOGENARIAN GOLFER
My friends and I enjoyed playing at Willow Hill Golf course since it was under new management. The staff (front desk, pro shop, fields) is courteous, helpful). You just want to come back to play on this beautiful Scottish links golf course located on a hill in Northbrook, Illinois with a great view of the beautiful Lady of the Brook Church and the Chicago Skyline. Play the nine hole course once and you will come back.

It can feel close to a links style course. Especially with strong winds on the hill tops

Good intermediate course
Tricky in spots but no major trees or water. This is an ideal course for the novice golfer..

New course management changes headed in right direction
Since the currant course management took ownership, the changes made have been positive. Condition of the course is a lot better than it was and cutting down the knee-deep fescue grass makes the course more playable and more appealing to the eye. Alot of other work has been done with new tee boxes and less weeds in the grass. I look forward to seeing what other improvements are in store in the near future.
One caution is to control the cost of the green fees. I paid $23 on a deal on teeoff.com Regular green fee is $30. Getting a little steep for 9 holes. CAUTION!

Fun to play at our local altitude. Course needs some work but still nice short challenge
