Always easy going. They have an energetic accommodating staff!! Course was in great shape this early in the year. Gonna miss this place and hope it doesn’t go away, just so we can increase the already dense housing scenario over there. Whatevs, I guess thats common these days.
Frost Delay and Incompetent Staff
Last season I was a huge fan of this course. We showed up at 7:30 for an 8:20 tee time. Frost delay which we understand. What I don’t understand is the entire staff sitting in the clubhouse for 2 hours instead of prepping for the massive delay that occurred. No one wiping carts, prepping the starter boxers, or informing the 60 people waiting what was going on. Ended up being an 8 hour round when said and done. Completely understand the frost delay, but the staff could have knocked off an hour and a half of that time if they didn’t sit around drinking coffee doing absolutely nothing all morning.
Glad they're staying open and not selling
Don't usually get to play this course because it's either booked up or a bit expensive compared to other deals out there so this was nice. Was a bit wet yet being early in season so cart path only which makes the course play longer walking back and forth as this isn't a tight layout. Plus the extra wind the last month also adds not only to making the course play a bit harder but also takes a normal draw in the fairway and almost puts it onto the next fairway. These aren't the courses fault obviously the course looks like it will green up and look nice. Amenities aren't 10 million dollar clubhouse nice but are a step up from other courses staff was friendly and doing their jobs so no problems there.
Silver Lakes is Great!
I’ve always loved golfing at Silver Lakes. They have 2 nicely laid out 18 hole courses and a nice par 3 as well.

One of my favorite places
I now golfed at all three courses here, north south and the 9 hole, all are great courses, this is definitely one of my favorites, greens are in excellent shape, really great job of keeping leaves cleared, we were a little upset that we never seen a beer Cart but later in the day we seen it off to the side with a broken wheel or something so hopefully that gets fixed soon.
