South at Silver Lake Country Club

Course played pretty quickly due to cold weather. Fairways and greens not cut but probably due to conditions. I'll play again next year during normal weather conditions.

Cannot beat this facility, golf, 36 holes and a great 9..Rolling Hills, and it does roll up and down. Always a good time at Silver Lakes...if the play moves along. It can get slow at times.

Although this course is public and gets plenty of play, for some reason it has the feel of a private club. Great staff, very helpful.
The course is in good shape & is a fun play. I'm a hack & I had a few birdy opps. & pulled out a few pars. I especially liked the few par 4 that are within reach for a big hitter.

It was a wonderful day for weather but the round was very slow. There were 3 groups on the 11th tee.

My buddies and I play there often and the course is in excellent shape. We really enjoy the layout and game is always enjoyable. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. We have a great time. I would definitely recommend this course.

course is in excellent shape. It can be busy on the weekends but during the week it is an excellent place to play. They have excellent food and the staff is very accommodating.

Played here with my Dad on a Sunday and expected some back up play, but waiting 5 to 10 minutes on every hole is unexeptable. The group infront of us had no understanding of course ettiqute and showed no signs of trying to pick up pace. Do the rangers not do there jobs anymore? If slow play is a problem you need to tell these groups to pick up pace especially if there are no groups in front of them. The other thing that was irritating was the one of the cart girls drove right past us showing no signs of stopping or asking if we needed anything? I think the only good thing about this course was nothing. I wont be back.

Slow rate always at silver lake. Don't know if it's always overbooked or what. If you ask me this place is way too much money for a 5-6 hr round. Better courses for the price in the area.

The greens were really beat up and the people in front of us were really slow. Also, the customers in the parking lot almost hit my father's car as they were pulling out.

Not a good experience and definitely not with the money for the greens fees.

Course was in good shape and play moved well. Was paired up after eight holes.

Had a tee time booked on golfnow. Arrived at first tee 10 minutes before tee time and was told I could not tee off until 5 groups of a league went off ahead of me. Was able to squeeze in on back and it took 3 hours to play 9 holes. Went home. Course was in nice shape.

The courses was in good shape. It played hard and fast. The ball rolled forever in the fairway and was subject to some wild bounces when it reached any slope or mounding. The greens are large and held well struck shots despite the overall firmness of the course. The staff was accommodating and pace of play excellent for a weekend. We only saw the beverage cart once during our round and the halfway house is located between the 12th and 13th holes. It was hot so that cost the course some extra revenue.

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful course. Nice mix is par 3's, 4's, and 5's. Wide fairways and not many places to lose your balls. As a beginner it was nice to only lose 2 balls over 18 holes.

Our tee time was 12:21 upon arriving at the first hole at 12:26 we were instructed to go to hole 4 because we were so late and they had 3 groups of 4 that gone ahead of us. An individual can not finish a par 3 in 5 minutes. The grouping ahead of us was 15 minutes late to their tee time and rather than have us wait to start we were told that our 5 minutes cost us the first 3 holes. Not only was this unprofessional of the staff it was down right wrong. If you're not one of the "good ol boys" be early to this course no telling what will happen.

Good condition with a good rate. Was disappointed that the party I was to be grouped with was sent off early, leaving me to golf by myself.

Enjoyed playing the North course. Only think lacking are adequate yardage markers. The markers are discolored and hard to find.

Otherwise, I enjoyed course which featured some challenging holes. Specifically, the 18th par 3 was a challenge.

I'll play there again.

Well manicured course, nice amenities. Not crowded. Enjoyed my round.

Played the South Course for the 1st time and thought it had the right amount of challenges. Unfortunately, one of those challenges was, occasionally, figuring out where the next tee box was.

I was by myself and couldn't rely on a partner who might have been there for some help locating where some of the tee boxes were.

After the 1st hole, there's a sign that points to the right to indicate the 2nd hole is that direction. But, the tee box immediately to the right is the 17th tee box. Being a lefty, my back was to the sign that said "17". It was only after I tee'd off that I saw the sign...looked about 150 feet further away and saw the "2" sign. Maybe the sign with the "2" and pointing to the right and saying "across the road".

If memory serves me, there was confusion about which way to go to tee off for the 8th hole, too. No signage there.

Otherwise, the weather was perfect, the course in great condition and I had fun.

The tees, fairways, greens and sand traps were in fine condition. Silver Lake consistently does a fine job maintaining its courses
