Nice day
Pace of play a little slow but people in front of us did offer us to play through but I didn’t want to rush ahead. Fairways were in good shape. Greens were good but people need to fix their divots. Got a good deal on teeoff.com.
Nice, but overvalued
South course is relatively easy so it isn't infuriating. Some work on the short tee boxes needs to be done with the iron divots. Only gripe is whenever i need anything (check in at the counter, get a cart, talk to the starter) i feel like they want me to leave.
Coghill family isn't upholding their family name to the best of their ability. Without deals, this place is pretty overpriced.
Pace of play ruined the day
The course is in good condition and is a decent track, however a 5.5 hour round ruins the day for everyone. It's unacceptable for a course to allow this to happen by putting a scramble event first thing in the morning. I won't be playing here again due to extremely poor pace of play.
Overbooked
Most golf courses leave at least 10 minutes between tee times. This one only 8, which seems to slow things down immensely. Had to wait a lot, however it is a nice place to play.

Great Course
This was a great round of golf at Silver Lake. The course is in incredible shape and the layout is awesome. My problem is the front nine took 2hrs and 50 minutes. I get that it was a twilight round and the course was fully booked but it should never take that long to play 9 holes. After 9 some groups ahead of us left so the back was quick. The course looks amazing right now though, great staff, and totally worth it.
Worst pace of play of my life
Had to abandon the round after 7 holes, which took 2 and a half hours. Marshals were not keeping groups on pace and too many groups were on the course. Need to spread out tee times and enforce pace of play. Will certainly never be returning here, even though I got a rain check for the last 11 holes. You just can’t expect people to play a seven hour round.

Took us 5 hours and 23 minutes to complete the round. Luckily it was a very nice day. The halfway house was only covered with on person and there were 15 people waiting to order something

Slow!!!!!
We were a 3-some, took us 3.5 hours to play 9 holes. No rangers keeping pace. They had people starting every 8 minutes. Very poor course management. Spoke with some other people and they said it’s like this all the time.

Not worth the money at all
Paid $80 per person for the round + cart. The pace of play might have been the worst I’ve ever experienced. Basically 6 hours. Course was not in great shape. Very dry and fairways were not maintained. First hole has driving range balls all over the fairway? Group in front of us had no business playing the back tees but did anyways, and then re-teed multiple times, searched for their balls nonstop. You need a ranger. Nonetheless a day on the course is better than a day not on the course. Cheers and I’ll never be back 🦦
