Very poor scheduling
When we got on 10th Tee, there were 3 groups of people claiming they were part of a league and they had the right to go before us. This has never happened before ever. How can you so miscalculate the timing and allocate 2 groups to clash on a Tee. The golf attendant who came was not helpful at all. He did nothing. 3 other groups landed on the 10th tee after us,because the last 4 of the league guys were extremely slow. Very poor coordination
Silver lake review
When playing there was a league out in front and was not warned or told till I was checking in with the starter. It would be smart for the manager to get rid of the two tee times that start after the league so normal players do not get held up for a five hour round. As well having a league go out on a Friday is not the best option as most people are only able to play at the end of the week (Friday-Sunday). You should co sidered doing leagues when courses are not busy (Monday-Thursday).
Slow
Very slow. No ranger in sight. Only bright spot was the cart person and the attendant at the 12th hole
Greens too fast making putting ridiculous
I like almost everything about the course. Tees and fairways are generally in great shape. The course has its challenges. I played the North course today with a married couple. The greens are way too fast and you just can't stop the ball on even slightly sloped greens. It added about 10 strokes to all of our games. I shot a 92 with 42 putts! Have the groundskeeper addess this . . . please! It took the joy out of the game today.
Nice well kept course
Nice views only problem is slow golfers and lacking direction at some holes. Needs better directions after each hole if so great place to golf
SLOW
They always overbook the course. Took 5 1/2 hours to play the north course. Greens are way tooo slow and course is not worth the money. If the cut the greens and spaced out play it would be much better but im not coming back for awhile thats forsure. Not worth the headache.
Beautiful, well maintained course
We have golfed on all 3 courses at Silver Lake this summer numerous times. The course is well maintained and very enjoyable. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. A few times we ran into longer waits between holes on Rolling Hills nine hole course but overall the pace of game was good. We will definitely golf there until the end of the season.
$60 round, $5 experience
I got to this course after paying $60 for early afternoon tee time and was immediately given a defective golf cart that barely went forward but they exchanged it. The practice area was small and in rough shape. The starter was very rude after we started our round 2 minutes late (not exaggerating we were actually 2 minutes late) and let the group of 4 who had the tee time 10 minutes after ours jump ahead of us. I soon found out why he was upset we didn’t start on the right on time. Pace of play was awful the whole round. Tee boxes backed up 1-3 groups on every hole. Course conditions weee awful, dry fairways, uneven cuts on both fairways and greens, sand was hard as concrete and the course was flat out ugly. I’ve heard their other course is better but based off of how the cared for the north course, how they treated me and my friends, the high pricing, and the awful pace of play, I doubt I’ll be coming back especially considering how many other course of high quality for the same or lower price are nearby.
Nice day
Pace of play a little slow but people in front of us did offer us to play through but I didn’t want to rush ahead. Fairways were in good shape. Greens were good but people need to fix their divots. Got a good deal on teeoff.com.
