Deerfield Golf Club

We played Deefield on a Friday afternoon and it was a great experience. Great pace of place, great quality Tee Boxes, Fairway, and Greens. The carts have computers in therm. Really good course all around.

Second time running into a 4some group of guys that insists on playing from the black tees, which is fine, but some of them were not consistent enough to hit from there. It's understandable when there is nowhere to go, but they were just slow. The worse part was us waiting on a par 3, and we hit as soon as they were off the green and out of sight. The ball went close to them about 20 ft from cart path. The last guy, obviously the slowest walked back to the ball and threw it in the water. It was total BS!!! They were already off!!! Surprisingly, they played much faster after that...go figure

Really enjoyed the round. Course was in excellent condition considering that it had rain the day before. Pace was on the slow side because there were lots of players out. Beautiful course and nice layout.

Went out on a weekday AM at 7:30 in the morning. I play around and I would expect that an early AM round should run around 3:40-4hrs. The round took 4:20 and waiting on every shot. There was a group ahead of us that was very slow and had atleast a hole open ahead of them all the time. One ranger visit did not help and they created a bad experience. Maybe I have high expectations, but all summer we play at these earlier times and this was the first time.

Very nice condition, somewhat forgiving course. Greens in exceptional shape. GPS on cars a plus.

Got a lot of static and grief from the desk agent upstairs!!!

This was completely unacceptable and unwarranted. I have a portable Oxygen Concentrator for my COPD which I need on a warm and humid day or when I try to golf 18 holes and for that reason can’t afford to have anybody riding with me if they smoke or park the cart next to a lit cigarette or cigar.

But otherwise it’s a great course. Thanks everybody.

We were behind an outing this time, and it slowed us way down. I overheard one of their participants said their round last 5 hours. That's 1 hour beyond pace. Perhaps restrict outings to playing best ball instead straight up golf.

This course is still one of my favorites!
