Challenging but slow
Forget this if you want to play in 4 hours or less on any kind of nice day. The only time I saw a ranger, once before we started. Left after 14 holes and not because of bad play. No fun if they can’t keep play moving
Decent Course for Park District
I enjoyed the variation of the course from hole to hole. Not a lot of water, average amount of sand traps, rough was relatively easy. They have a Ranger who told us to speed up play around the 12th hole which was annoying because we were a foursome of decent golfers and the people in front of us were not moving all that fast. Some of the greens were pretty chewed up and could easily be repaired so that was disappointing. Overall I enjoyed playing there and would go back at a Tee-off discount but I wouldn't pay the regular green fee prices.
The greens were the color brown
This price you would pay for this course is not in the lifetime of what you would expect. The course had pieces of the greens missing when trying to putt. Was unbelievable and could not believe it.
Great course with great practice facilities
Deerfield is a great course with an even better practice facility. You can really warm up before a round with the driving range, short game area and huge putting green. Afternoon rounds are priced right and the course is challenging and fun to play.
Too wet
Didn't get to play too wet golf path only and there was thunder at time of tee off and I can't get my money back which sucks
Great Course and Amazing Deal!
Best value out there and the course is always kept up well. GPS in the cart is awesome for hole layouts and distances. I always enjoy playing here
Deerfield Golf Club
Traditional old style course. Some narrow tree lined fairways. Greens were a bit rough. They use those annoying proximity sensors on carts and they beep annoyingly even when clearly not within the posted cart signs. Especially annoying as I have COPD and normally get handicap flag so I can get a bit closer to greens. These sensor systems really make it more difficult for players who have physical issues.

The tee boxes and greens are like concrete. Nice course but a lot of the greens are in bad shape. Not sure why as we’ve had plenty of rain. Bring lots of tees because you’ll break on on every tee shot.
Not a very friendly staff.
