Odyssey Golf Course
About
Odyssey Country Club is a challenging layout that was designed by Harry Bower and two-time U.S. Open winner Curtis Strange. Strange won in 1988 and 1989, putting him in the company of only six others in the century-long history of the U.S. Open. His influence is apparent in all the strategic elements of the golf course as well as the risk-reward options. This demanding layout is not exactly beginner friendly. Staying on the fairways is crucial or your ball will be met with deep rough. Water is also a prominent presence on the golf course. Twelve holes either feature a water hazards or play along the water's edge. Odyssey Country Club's 16th hole is memorable for its tricky island green, which naturally draws comparisons to the famous 17th at TPC Sawgrass.

It’s ok but we rain out but won’t give rain check because pre paid on golf now on 4 th holes.
We having good time but rain bad on 7/11/20 12:25 on 4 th holes they won’t give rain check because pre pain on line, hope they will change the system, golf course is well maintained love it.
Rained out last 2 holes
Nice course. Water is in play a lot. A few dog legs to make things interesting. Course could use a little management but overall it was a nice course. Got to 17th hole and got rained out. smh
Tee boxes were embarrassing. Six inch weeds growing on half of them and the other half were beat up with divots and nowhere to hit. Not worth the money go play George W. Dunne. Greens were patchy and just sad conditions throughout.
1st time at Odyssey
Course was in very good shape, and very challenging in spots. Course conditions were very, very good considering all the rain and heat the past few weeks. Incredible value for an IL course. We will absolutely be back. Driving range area was great, although you have to drive up #1 to get there, which isn't ideal, but certainly not a big issue.
Nice course that never seems to be in good condition
I've played this course a handful of times now, and whether its rained the night before or not, it just seems like this place retains water like crazy. Bunkers are a toss up on if they're playable or not; fairways on 2, 9 and 10 had complete sections completely under water and in this most recent instance some of the cart paths were under water too. Again, it's not just this instance where it had rained the day before, it seems like the course plays wet most of the time. On top of that, the rough is not consistent and the greens have more ball marks than any other course I've played. It's a shame because this layout can be a little challenging and fun, but the condition that I've come to anticipate here makes it a hard course to pay $35. If you catch it during a dry spell for the right price, this place could be fantastic.
It’s ok
Got a hot now deal and with that it’s worth it. Course is pretty beat up but they’re trying. No starter or anyone pushing play
However. Challenging course and staff was very very friendly. Would go back for right price
Good, fun track.
We play this at 6am a few times per week, no one is in front of us, its awesome. They need to cut the rough or else you spend 45 minutes looking for a ball. The rain hasn't helped, but need to maintain the course. Fun track
Nice layout
Nice layout, Played the course many times, The staff is very friendly from the young man at the at the clubhouse and the starter it was super nice really enjoyed the round of golf ,I would definitely play it again
great course ..poor upkeep
we were directed to start on the back nine . it was a mess overgrown grass, weeds and other. had a bad time trying to just find the ball in the fairway..got to the front nine and it was like night and day .the teeboxes were mowed ...the fairways were smooth as carpet.and the greens great...just need to make sure its been taken care of before we play again
Trash
Poor conditions, still mowing fairways at 430PM. The worst drainage in the area. I’d only play here at the twilight rate. Trying to get as many holes in as possible obviously. Tough to do when you realize there’s a six-some two groups ahead of you, all in their own carts. Place has really gone down hill.
Lush fairways
Rough was very long; fairways and greens excellent. Nice and spread out tee boxes. Well manicured. Definitely will be back
