Odyssey Golf Course
About
Odyssey Country Club is a challenging layout that was designed by Harry Bower and two-time U.S. Open winner Curtis Strange. Strange won in 1988 and 1989, putting him in the company of only six others in the century-long history of the U.S. Open. His influence is apparent in all the strategic elements of the golf course as well as the risk-reward options. This demanding layout is not exactly beginner friendly. Staying on the fairways is crucial or your ball will be met with deep rough. Water is also a prominent presence on the golf course. Twelve holes either feature a water hazards or play along the water's edge. Odyssey Country Club's 16th hole is memorable for its tricky island green, which naturally draws comparisons to the famous 17th at TPC Sawgrass.

Terrible scheduling.
During a time when tee times are supposed to be 15 mins apart, we had to wait 30 mins behind 3 groups on the first tee after we were started on #10. Not sure why they were splitting up groups on hole 1 and 10, but when it came to start on the second half, the course was super congested. Obviously they’re over scheduling for the money. Then we were told that we played too slow. Unbelievable. The course’s rough was about 10 inches long so you lost your ball unless you were standing over it. Holes are spaced out way too much especially on the back 9 when you have to walk through the neighborhood. Would not go back.
Covid19 golf2
Golf was great. Starts when you arrive and greeted in the parking lot. Then when you get you cart. All went great without any problems. The course was in great shape from fairways to greens. Sand traps were wet but that was from the rains during the week. The 15 minute time between groups were good. Finish round under 4 hours. Would recommend course.
Fun course
First time here and we will be back, we really liked it. Its a challenging course with the water, trees and stiff rough but its a fun course to play; and there's hardly a straight hole on it. Considering all the rain it was in excellent condition too. The only downside that annoyed us was they had people start on 1st and 10th tees so when we were waiting for our slot on the 1st tee there were people who had come off the 10th waiting in line behind us along with the next tee time for the 1st so the 15 minutes between tee times was a joke, it was solid pair after pair with a line on the 1st. That said, pace of play was fine once we all got out of the logjam they'd created on the 1st.
Great course
I’ve played Odyssey a few times over the years and always enjoyed it. It’s a nice layout with some fun holes, elevation changes and doglegs. Food (a sandwich, bottle of water and chips) were available but you had to order from a website...it was weird. If you have food and water available (which would have been nice since water fountains and the clubhouse were closed) why not make it easy to get? Overall a nice course and I will play it again.
In great shape for this time of year. Especially with the recent rain. Great to get in another round before winter at a local course.
Great fall round
Course was a little wet from recent rains. Greens were in great shape and rolled true. Great rate on Golf Now.
Odyssey Country Club
Course was extremely wert due to the rain, so we had to follow the golf cart path. Took 5 hours but was due to the wet conditions. We loved the course and want to play again, just not when it is wet. Staff was super friendly and gave me the $25 senior rate vs. $35 we booked it at.
PLAY THIS COURSE
Played here for the first time on Friday afternoon 9-20-19
Friendly staff, BEAUTIFUL property. Course was in great shape. Greens were quick but not crazy and rolled pretty true!
Some very cool holes on this course.
Odyssey Country Club - Greens always smooth
I always enjoy this course. The greens are always in great shape. The course has its challenges with some blind shots on some holes if you are not positioned well off the tee and therefore you cannot see the greens and there are trees, etc that can block you as well. The fairways are fine and it is a pleasant place to play.
Odyssey
Great course. Every thing was good except for the driving range. Charging different rates for matts vs grass is ridiculous Range balls are the worse. How about getting new range balls.
I have known.
So it was a perfect Saturday weather wise. I decided at the last minute that I would like to get out on the course. Went on my Golf Now app and noticed every course was pretty booked up. Then I came across Odyssey where the entire afternoon was free. I thought this was odd so I checked out their reviews. They were horrible but I decided to hook anyways. Big mistake. The course condition was just so bad. It had not rain in 2 weeks yet it was still mushy. Mowed grass was left right there on the fairway. Goose crap everywhere. The worst was the rude cranky old man working the pro shop. I have never been so happy to leave a golf course.
