Nice Layout
Play as a last resort, it’s not very hard yet is challenging. . Has water on few holes but the sand traps are so far gone there not even play able. Course floods in the spring making some holes not even play able or can be a swamp like . And the greens here for a country club that’s run down are un put-able on all 18 holes. No one fix’s divots here, or does green s keepers or maintenance workers. The worst is the rough here. Over 3 to 6 inches high in all cases. Spent a lot of time searching for balls just off the fairways here. And to see they charge $65.00 on weekends is not worth that kind of money. Played it at twilight for $30. This place needs a lot of love to make it good again.
A lot of water
After a very wet week, there was even more water than usual on a course with a lot of water obstacles.
Probably above my skill level to manage that much water.
The course runs in the middle of houses and it's a nice surrounding.
The course was not in a good shape. If the recen weather explains some of it, it does not justify it all.
The fairways had a lot of grass balls and divots that were not replaced. The greens were surprisingly hard and picked all over.
Staff was great and helpful
Midlane Golf Resort
It is a good golf course with a nice lay out around small lakes and forest. It is quite challenging with a lot of water hazards and bunkers. I have played here many times and does not ever get bored playing it repeatedly. My friends likewise enjoy playing here.
Good design
After heavy rains, but course is okey. Nice design
And huge course. Don’t worry about 71. Big enough.
Course in poor condition
I have played this course in the past and have been very pleased with my experience. However, today the course was in very bad conditions. Carts should not be allowed on the fairways as they were extremely wet. The greens were in very bad shape as well. Need to attend to them as well.
Soaking Wet & Slow Play
This is a nicely designed course however it was so soaking wet and slow that we ended after 9 holes. I requested a rain check but the Pro Shop states that has to come through Golf Now and he did put a note on file. Simply looking for 2 18 hole rounds to make up for the 4 9 hole trips we missed out on.
Very challenging course
The course is very challenging. Doesnt drain very well otherwise one of the best values in Lake County!!
Great layout, tough course
Great layout, bent grass tee to green, mostly winds through residential developments. Extremely challenging, lots of water, great 18th hole. Could definitely add a “hybrid” tee between red and white tees, would reduce carry difficulty on some holes by players that do not hit the ball far.
Great layout
Course conditions have gone downhill since new management has taken over
Great course
Course was in really good shape! Staff was awesome
Course is challenging as water and hazards come into play on many holes.
There were few players on the course due to perceived weather conditions and pace of play was outstanding. The only drawback was there were some wet conditions but the greens and fairways were in excellent shape. Austin in the Pro Shop was great,
All positive, except for bunkers
The courses was in very good condition. The tee boxes were good except for one or two, the fairways were good and the greens rolled very smoothly. The only real issue and I mean it was a BIG issue were the bunkers. The bunkers were full of rocks, some the size of golf balls. I’m thankful I did not hit into any bunkers but my partners couldn’t say the same. One wedge was damaged due to a rock. The staff should commit to several days of cleaning up the bunkers.
Terrible unmanaged course
My family arrived at 3pm for a 3:30pm Sunday tee time. We were told we could go out at any time as the starter had already left.
There was no ranger on the course. There we two separate groups with 6 golfers in each group and one with 5 ahead of us. They did not seem to care about pace of play and with nobody left to manage the course it was taking 20 mins to golf one hole.
We kept skipping holes only to run into another oversized groups. Others normal size groups began jumping holes causing confusion on who was playing what hole.
Also there were no yardage markers making it impossible to tell how far out you were. There was goose crap EVERYWHERE and the course was in awful shape
Avoid this course like the plague.
Midlane
my Grandmother before she died used to tell me if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all ... but I will say this I’ve lived on this course for over two decades and I couldn’t even begin to count how many times I’ve played it. I know the course literally like the back of my hand with my eyes closed at night. Not completely stoked about the way I was treated tbh
Midlane, much improved.
Our traveling league (20 seniors) played Midlane last week. We had played the course last year in July and found it not in the best of shape. On our recent visit it had rained heavily the previous afternoon so the course was wet but not unplayable. The course was in much better shape this year.
The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a challenging but fair layout at a very reasonable price. We will be back.
