My "work track".
This track is convenient as it's close to my office, plays quickly and is set up to help me with short iron play. Okay here every week at least once to keep sharp. Okay is quick and the staff are very pleasant.

Challenging course
The rough on this day was very deep (normally not like that) and even if you were standing right over your ball, you could not find it. Lost 10-12 balls (that I watched go into the rough but could not find). The fairways are narrow and the greens are small, so precision is valued over distance. Otherwise, I like the course, the price is good and it is never crowded.

terrible grass , too long, not cut

Feedback
I played with a group of 4 and it was our first time playing this course. All of us came away disappointed with the course layout and maintenance of the greens. The majority of the holes were par 3’s and when you got an opportunity to hit a par 4, you were met with electrical wiring or electrical beam/pole interfering with your shot. My buddy hit the power line while my other buddy hit the electrical beam. The rough including the fairways were bad. Very thick grass/rough & you literally lost your ball hitting in the rough. You would not believe the amount of golf balls we found in the rough. Overall, not a place I would come back to play. It will be our first and last time here. This is truly a case of you get what you pay for.

Foot Long Rough
First off, pace of play was great - as a foursome on a busy day we finished in around 3h15m, which makes sense for a course with many par 3s. Staff was great as well. Sadly, the upkeep is what will likely keep me from coming back. The rough is mowed to a foot long nearly everywhere, not sure why. Good luck finding your ball unless you're standing directly over it, and even then its 50/50. If you find it, its nearly impossible to play out of. I lost 6 balls just off the fairway, which is pretty frustrating. Also, most tee boxes were 2-3 inches of grass and a bit uneven. Greens were in bad shape and mowed to inconsistent lengths but mostly slow. I WOULD recommend this course for beginners, but the unplayable rough makes it a miserable experience.

Salt Creek Blue
Played here many times. This course is good for working on your short game. The greens are small and requires acracy of approach shots. Like I said been here many times. will be here many times again.

Excellent value, fun outing
The off season rates make this course an even better bargain. The course is in very nice shape. Fallen leaves beneath the trees make it difficult to find your ball, but the fairways were recently cut so that problem remains confined to the areas with bushes and under trees. Greens were in very nice shape, though the geese work hard to change that. The off-season rates make this course an even better value than usual. It is a fun course, but especially excellent for beginners or higher handicappers.

Nice enough
I get out to Salt Creek with some high-handicap friends once or twice a year. The Blue course is plenty challenging for them and still entertaining for me. Today, the tee boxes were a mess -- uneven, mostly dirt from all the divots. But the fairways and greens were OK. Nice enough for the price. Just do not expect to get around the course quickly -- the high-handicap crowd keeps things moving at a relaxed pace (around 2 hours for 9 holes).
