Great Value
Found a Golfnow Hot Deal for $10 for 18 holes with cart so I couldn't pass it up. My wife and I played 18 holes in 2 hrs on a beautiful day. No one in front of us the whole round. The course is in much better shape than other times that I have played it. I would normally walk this course, but my wife likes to ride when we play 18 holes.
Good Executive 9 for the price
A buddy and I paid 12 + convenience fee for 18 holes with cart. Its hard to beat a deal like this. I've played here a few times and it's a great course to practice your short game. Maybe 4 holes that require you to drive. The greens and fairway are well kept, just need to be racked. The course isn't particularly hard, but is always a good time.
Nice course. Fun.
These two courses, white and blue, were very nice and fun to play. Not too much water. Not too much sand. Not too long. I played all 18 and it was an enjoyable afternoon. I'll be back this summer.
Great Exec Course For The Price
Played on an overcast day and course was wide open. Greens were a pleasant surprise, in great shape for a muni. Staff could not be friendlier and more helpful. Thought course was an exceptional value. My wife loved the course and wants to replay regularly.
short course for a quick round
greens are in very good condition . Fairways are good , and a few holes were water can come into play .
Paid $16, Worth Maybe $8
Tee Time: 4:06 on a Thursday ($16). Second time playing the Executive Blues at Salt Creek. Normally, I play the Executive Whites with a few of my co-workers every couple Thursdays. This time we were forced to play the Blues because of a high school match on the Whites. Not a big deal - we were all happy to adjust. However, what is a big deal (and the staff should take note) are the very poor tee boxes, fairways, and bunkers. More than half of the tee boxes are 75% dirt and very hard. The only thing the Executive Blue course has going for it are its greens, which are soft and in good condition. I dislike playing here because its overpriced, boring, and not well maintained. Unfortunately Salt Creek is the closest "Par 3" course to our work, so it looks like I'm kind of stuck with it. If you decide to go into the clubhouse I recommend trying their wings.
Nice course with difficult layout
This course is a nicely manicured, shorter course. I liked playing it, however I got lost a couple times finding the next tee box. The price was right, and I'll be back.

Not bad but slow play for the day
Great short course
This course was great. One thing to know is that it is an executive course. I only took my driver out for one hole but could have used it 2 or 3 more times. Overall good experience with a good price.
Good Course
Clean, fast paced and very friendly staff, greens are well maintained
Smooth afternoon round
Well organized course, quick pace, friendly/knowledgeable starter all conditions lending to my return
Worst course I have ever played
I booked this course on golfnow because it was 3.5 stars. It claimed to be 18 holes but it is two separate 9 hole courses. The white course is played through power lines and if you hit good golf shots you have a 50/50 chance of hitting a power line. There is no cart path, the sand is like pavement and the entire course is awful. I wouldn't play here for free!
Course is great for a quick round for golfers of all skills
The course is short but challenging due to small greens and well placed pin locations. Friendly accommodating staff and beverage cart girl add to a positive experience
First time was ok
Pretty strict on pace if someone is slow ahead of you be ready for cart guy to ask Your group to pick up pace. I understand it was a busy Sunday though. Other then that, good service and set up!
bugs and nats and grass
If you like getting chewed on by mosquitoes and nats, you'll love Salt Creek. I don't think they ever spray at this place which is low lying and near the eponymous creek. Also, wear old shoes, as they don't seem to use a grass catcher and your cleats with be caked with mud and grass. The cart paths are not paved and they're messy.
The staff, however, is nice and they have a very nice club house with delicious food.
BRING LOTS OF BUG SPRAY!
Great Park District Course
I play this course quite regularly and it very enjoyable. The grounds are very nice, the entire staff is ultra friendly and helpful. The food is unbelievable, they have a different buffet menu everyday of the week, and the place is packed with non-golfers. They have a very nice patio for dining, and a very nice Friday night barbecue during the summer.
Great Value For Inexperienced Golfer
The course is extremely short and is great practice for those golfers who lack experience. I don't believe the course has any par 5 holes, and I was able to drive the green on several of the par 4 holes. I am trying to get back into the game, and this course allowed me to work on my game for a very reasonable price.
Great deal!
For it being the end of year it was a lot fun. Had a good competitive round. Only complaint is that they gave up on the course conditions. The greens were littered with leaves. Tee boxes were in bad shape. But I understand that it's the end of year. Good value still.
Coupled with the Blue Course, Salt Creek is an inviting and at times a demanding short track. While not long, pin placements, decent greens, and intriguing traps and water hazards create a good challenge to the average golfer. A quick meal before or after the round at reasonable prices is available.
