Belk Park review
Course and staff are great ...Marshall could speed up play and let faster players play thru other than that good value for the money
soupy saturday
Played in the rain for more than half the round. Course held up reasonably well. Lots of puddles in the fairways as many of the holes are pretty flat.
Great course...slow play.
Beautiful course! Unfortunately we had a foursome that was taking way too long in front of us. Had the entire course backed up, but the Marshall didn't do anything about it. That's sad, because it leaves a bad taste in my mouth...not really interested in playing it again. But clubhouse staff was exception...course was in great shape...greens were perfect!!!
Best conditions in years
Belk has always been a great round of golf with its timeless course design. This year of 2021 has brought Belk to its original glory. Even the sand bunkers are much better than most public access courses. All golfers will enjoy Belk, just make sure to repair divot Mark's on the greens. Stupid ignorant people refuse to repair their divot marks on the greens, and the greens have suffered for it. But the greens still roll true especially when you do your job and repair them. Majority of teeboxes and fairways in great shape. Bang for your buck, doesn't get much better than Belk. Absolutely worth the drive to golf at Belk from the MO side. Will play more this year.
Horrible pace today
Course was overbooked, took 4 hours to play 12 holes. Marshall’s didn’t do anything about the groups holding everyone up. It’s a shame because it’s such a well maintained course. But not worth it if you’re standing at each tee box for 15 minutes while we ou wait for 3 groups to finish the hole.
Hot day, the course was in excellent shape. The pace was very slow on the back nine.
Love the layout
Course in great shape! Zoysia fairways wonderful. Greens had quite a few divot marks that weren't fixed.
On a very hot day the course was in great shape but the pace of play was slow and the marshal didn’t say anything to the slow group in front of us.
Way Overrated
The rating on GolfNow is way inflated. This course is highly overrated and I won't be playing it again. Flat community golf course bumper to bumper with players. Every fairway runs alongside another fairway. No elevation. No views. Boring greens with a lot of bumps and bruises. Marshals driving around acting like it's Augusta and it's not. The course is extremely easy which is nice... but it's crowded. Took us 5 hours as a two some. Waited at every hole during the middle of the afternoon. It's just a run of the mill community golf course. It feels very similar to Riverside in Fenton if you're familiar. Fox Creek in Edwardsville is a much better value.
