Great Round
Recently played Belk Park and it was in great condition. With the drier conditions over the past two weeks the course was playing super fast as the fairways and greens were cut low. The greens were super fast. Probably as slick and true as I have ever experienced at Belk Park. It was a great ground and I look forward to returning soon.
Completely Soaked
The course was practically underwater! Hard to find a dry spot to advance your ball on your next shot. Greens rolled ok but pretty slow because of the moisture in them.
Needs a good 7-10 days of dry weather to completely dry out.
Belk - Frequent Flyer
I've played Belk probably 100 times going back 20 years.
Course is ALWAYS playable - fairways are typically good whether you play in February, June or November. Greens are sometimes slower to protect against steam rot, but they're never lost as we experience at other courses in the area.
Course gets a lot of play, so the greens are sometimes at the mercy of the individual golfer and their divot tool.
Pick the right tees for your game and enjoy the round.
Great course
Great course for average golfer. Layout isn't too punishing for slightly off center shots. My favorite course on Ill side.
