Great public course

We stopped on the way back from Kohler. It had 4 and a half stars and so we thought Ok we'll try it not expecting much. The staff was great changing our time as we thought it was central time]e zone and it wasn't. I was impressed with the conditions and the difficulty due to the native grasses especially around t the bunkers. I would highly recommend. You will enjoy it!

Spectacular Course

This course is very beautiful and quite challenging. You need to play using course management. I enjoyed the fact that you have to play different shots and clubs throughout the round. The only downside would be, if you have bad knees, it may not be the best choice. There is a lot of walking up and down hills.

I play several places around the Indianapolis area and I think Bear Slide is the best. It's in great condition despite the weather and the layout is beautiful. Great value for the money, and a must play If you are in the area!

Solid course for the cost

My first time in Indiana and first course I played at. Overall very good course. Rate of play was a little slow for a weekday as there were a few foursomes with older people in front. But the conditions were great, layout was decent and pretty well kept. I would come back again if I'm in the area and if there is a good Golfnow deal.

A Hidden Gem

Bear Slide is a big layout, with contrasting 9's. The front is wider, more links feeling, while the back goes up and down through the woods. Very pleasing to the eye, and all the golf anyone would want! Pick the right tees, and have a GREAT time playing wonderful golf!

This is a challenging and beautiful layout, perfectly maintained. Great greens and excellent driving range, chipping area and putting green. I loved playing this course and intend to play again the next time I'm in the area.

Always a Good Round

Said it before and just want to reiterate that this is a great course. One of my favorites around Indy. The course is in great shape, though they did just punch the greens, which did bother some putts I had one the last 2 days when I played with friends. But the speed was good and rest of the course is in outstanding condition. Don't hesitate to play, even while it heals from aerification.
