Bear Slide Golf Club

Bear Slide has it all. I have been playing this course for 15 years and I am amazed at the conditions very time I play it. This course really makes you think about every shot.

Always a challenge and was in very good condition. I wish the fairways had been tended better by the golfers by repairing their divots as I was in two in the middle of the fairway. But overall, pleased as usual.

My brother and I went to play here for the first time. The course was in good condition. The greens were very responsive. Being our first time playing here, we were not sure where we needed to place a lot of our shots, which was a little frustrating. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. We will go back and play this course again. I would recommend playing here. We played from the Blue Tees which gave the course plenty of length.

I had great time playing this course. BUT greens gotten worse and worse. Maybe that's because of weather condition this summer but too much bare spot has no excuse. And 10th hole sand trap is horrible too. No sand at all. lost 3 strokes there. Paid $47 friday 4pm. Took 50min to get there. Little disappointed....

Highly recommended. Great layout . challenging without being unfair.Course in excellent condition.

This is a lot of golf course...however there are 3 sets of men's tees (plus seniors and women)
It's worth the price...it's a must play every year. When I have company in town, bear slide is where I take them...they alway look forward to it.

I was very satisfied with the layout and difficulty of this course. The fairways were in excellent condition as well as a minority of the greens, a coupke greens could use some work or be replaced. The elevation changes on several of the holes made this course lots of fun to play.

As a threesome we went out early on a Sunday, and it was a wet start. With rain the night before and sprinkle coming down on the teebox, we were hoping the weather would turn around. After playing the front nine through wind and rain, the back nine turned out to be really nice day.

As for the course, conditions were pretty good. Course is very well kept, but the pace of play because of the rain was too slow. We were catching a twosome ahead of us and waiting on continuous holes. This is probably not the courses fault, but that's what happened.

Price - $60 (Sunday at 8AM) to ride 18 was about the top price I would pay to golf here again.

Love the layout. Course reflected excellent overall care, though a few minor blemishes on back 9 greens. I like the variety to each hole making sure you don't feel like you're playing the same hole a second or third time...like some courses. Would definitely recommend.

The greens are in poor shape all over the course. Between the bumps, dirty patches, and I repaired divots, it was hard to get a true roll.

I have found this to be one of the best courses in the central Indiana. Always well maintained and in great shape. The only thing I would like to see changed is to soften up the greens a touch to help offset the quickness. All in all, a great course with a great price.

Greens rolling exceptionally smooth...anything that started on line stayed true. Bear Slide has great character to it: no hole looks the same. Golfer must be prepared for many blind approaches to greens.

Course was in real good shape. We had prompt service and the practice facility is always well groomed.

This course is beautiful and in great condition. It's a great amount of difficultly but can be played well. I think there should be GPS on the carts for this course.

Honestly, I don't know how this course isn't a PGA course. It's THAT nice. It is very challenging, has tons of different hazards and obstacles to keep you on your toes, and honestly it's just flat out awesome to be out there. Unless you find a Hot Deal, it is a little pricey, but trust me, it's worth it. If you're in the central Indiana area, this is a course you've gotta play!!!

Bear Slide has always been one of my favorite courses in the Indy area. It's a bit of a drive from Indy but that is one of my favorite things about it- it's in the middle of nowhere, there aren't houses on the course, and it's not usually very busy. The most common complaint I hear about this course is the stark contrast between the front and the back 9. The front is links style and being a long driver is rewarding. The back is almost all precision shots and placement is key. You have to hit GIRs out here to score well as many greens are raised and narrow. Up and downs are tough. Course was in good shape and I recommend this course to anyone within an hours drive.

Got to play my favorite central Indiana course early this spring and it was in great condition for April 12th. Pace of play was slow, but that is to be expected as a 2-some behind a few 4-somes and early in the season. Highly recommend playing the course this year.

I love the layout of the course and its usually in pretty good shape, however, this is the third time in a row where my round took well over 5 hours.
