Bear Slide Golf Club

Played the course in 3:15 as a twosome at noon. Love the track and it was in very good shape. Keep it in play and all is well but if you get into the tall grasses you're cooked. The rough is pretty lush also. The opening nine is mostly links style and the back nice is more classic. I'll be back very soon.

This is a very well maintained course that is very challenging and a great deal for the money.

This course was great. It's a little out of the way from Indianapolis, but it is worth the drive. It's a really quiet atmosphere, and the course is in excellent shape. It's a challenging course, but even average golfers can score well because it has its spots to hit. I will definitely play again and recommend it to all.

What isn't great about this place? There are no houses along the course. It's absolutely gorgeous. Very tough from the tips. Greens were fast and smooth. Every hole is interesting. We did have a red-winged blackbird attack us repeatedly by the back tee on 14. We had to move up one tee on that hole. We must have been too close to its nest. It is a bit far north of town and a touch difficult to find. But totally worth it. Everyone I've taken there can't wait to play it again.

Enjoyed Bearslide course challenging but yet if you hit the fairways and greens you will score well.

Bunkers are fun! I guess if you like Scottish style bunkers:)

This is one of the nicest courses in the Indianapolis area. It is in fantastic shape, is very challanging and has a great staff. Hit the fairways or first cut, otherwise bring extra balls. Greens are fast but true, the course is great. 17 and 18 are two especially challanging and beautiful holes.

rough was tough,hard to find ball sometimes,needs mowed shorter.. greens fast and firm. Great couse with very few easy holes.

This was an excellent course. It has moved into my top 5 in Indiana after playing it only once. The course was in excellent shape and mowed down all over with out leaving clumps of grass on the course which has been a problem with most courses recently due to the abnormally high amount of rain. The greens were really fast and true and the fairways were in great shape. I just wish it would not have been so windy on the day I played. I will most certainly be back to play this one again.

Course was in good shape, and played well considering the weather recently. My only qualm was with the dismissive nature of the staff, had they been polite I would have spent some money in the clubhouse as I am in need of new shoes and a couple clubs. But it seemed like they were thinking "great another golfnow customer."

Played whites front and blues on back approximately 6400 yds.
Course still wetin places from all the rain. Should have someone play with you the first time to tell you where to hit drives some blind drives

Played after record rain, fairways had a little standing water but greens rolled great despite the rain.

The course was under cart path only rules when we played which caused the round to be played in over 4 hours. This is a fantastic course with fair landing areas off the tee. I would recommend this for all levels of golfers. Love this one.

I have been playing Bear Slide once or twice a year for nearly 20 years. It is consistently in great shape, has a friendly staff, and provides a challenge for all levels of golfers. It is a well-hidden gem in Central Indiana that I would encourage anyone to play. Great fairways, well-placed bunkers and heather, and true greens keep me coming back. It has become my 16 year old son's favorite course.

I played this in late November of 2012 (it was 60-degrees that day!). I really liked this track, in fact I'd have to say it is one of my favorite in Indiana. It is on par with courses like Trophy Club or Kampen in West Lafayette which I live by and play a lot.

Great course. Staff are, somewhat dismissive, at least that day. I did get a GREAT rate on Golf Now so maybe that put him off??

This course will test your skills and expose any lack of skills. One half traditional, one half links style......you better pick your shots carefully and know where to bail out if the shots' not in you toolbox.

Course was in great condition and very fun to play. This course rates in my top three to play. Highly recommended!!!

Despite drought conditions this summer, Bear Slide was in pretty good condition.

This course was well worth the money to play. The front nine is links style and the back nine is more traditional. A challenging course with greens that rolled very true. The greens were pretty quick even with a storm that had come through the night before. You will not be disappointed if you play this course.

Aways enjoy playing the course, although I've never felt "welcomed " there. Not sure if it is because I use GolfNow rather than dealing direct, or if I'm simply not one of their regulars. Either way, I'll play again but it is never my first choice in the area.
