Beechwood Golf Course

Beechwood is one of the best courses I play, challenging layout, course conditions, men's club, events, and staff are all what makes this a great place to play. There are courses closer to my home, but this is the course I choose to play. LaPorte is fortunate to have a city leaders that value the course and has been willing to spend money for improvements.

We had a blast we went last year for our with a group of family and had a blast a week before we got married and went a few more times and this this year was a blast again love the course and love how much fun it is

Had a great time with friends. Course was in great shape for not having much rain. Greens rolled awesome!

We play Beechwood quite often each golf season. This was the best we've seen it.

I’d give the course like a 4.5. Visiting from out of town and first time I played it. Course was in great shape, greens, fairways, bunkers and tee boxes (other than 18 tee). 3.5 hour round so can’t beat that. Friendly pro shop staff. Classic layout, mature trees and several ponds potentially in play. Nothing too dramatic but interesting and challenging enough. Great value for the money. Got hot deal on golf now for $28 (with cart). Would definitely play again. Only downside is No driving range. Other than that, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in playing the course.

course well manicured. rough would punish you and heavy fringe around greens created problems. overall highly recommend playing this traditional style course.

I’ve been coming here every summer for about 25 years. It played slower than usual 4.5 hours. I blame that on it being the weekend. The course keeps getting better. The greens were in great shape even though it seemed like I was the guy in charge of repairing pitch marks. Best cart girl I can remember there and the polish sausage , Chicago dog style at the turn was perfect. Very nice meeting the new pro.

I have been playing Beechwood for a number of years and it has been one of my favorite courses when in Harbor Country in SW Michigan. The course is quite inviting with few troubles if you can keep it reasonable straight and it offers multiple tees to suit people of different capabilities. The greens and not overly tricked up and are always in excellent conditions with the ball running true. The staff are very friendly and overall it makes for an enjoyable round of golf. However, I went out yesterday for the first time this year and I noticed that the fairways were not as closely mown as I remember in prior years. They were also more uneven with the balls taking unexpected bounces upon landing. Not sure what (if anything) has changed, Other than this new aspect of golf at Beechwood it still remains one of my favorite places to play. Thank you to all at the pro shop and in the maintenance crew.

The course is well maintained with beautiful views. Friendly staff willing to help.. challenging course that makes it a fun course to play!

This course has undergone some great improvements with fairways and greens. The new equipment purchased was money well spent. Thanks again to the course pro, greens keeper and the rest of the team.
