Golfer Reviews
Course is in great shape for Ks winter.
Got delayed for our start time due to frost, couldn't use range balls before out round even though they are on mats. Back 9 is new, but very back and forth. Not a lot of angle or difficulty. Much cheaper than Wichita and would absolutely play again
Love this course
Have played it several times, drove 45 minutes just to play it. The greens are in immaculate condition and fairly large and love the layout, has a couple of difficult holes to keep you honest.
Great Course
Course was in great condition. Greens in perfect shape.
A hidden gem
Beautiful course in great condition. Everyone playing slowly allowed me to play through and were very polite. My favorite public course in the Wichita Metro area.
Great Course, great staff
Visiting from Colorado and this is the first time playing this course. We couldn't have been happier. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Made us feel like a local. Course conditions were very good even with the current heat wave. Pace of play was appropriate and never felt rushed or stalled. We'll be back to play next time we visit the grandkids.
Cherry Course
This is a great course that is well maintained and has a great staff.
Phil and Tiger
Staff was excellent and accommodating.
Corse great shape for all the heat. We came
For Illinois and we were happy to play.
Will return to play later this summer
Aesthetically Pleasing Course
This is the fourth time I’ve golfed at Cherry Oaks, and each time never disappoints. The course is in wonderful shape, the greens are challenging and force you to make good reads in order to avoid the dreaded 3-putt, and the staff is very friendly.
Considering I golfed on an 80-degree Friday afternoon, I got lucky that the course wasn’t clogged up with other golfers. I played okay, but holing a 38-foot birdie putt on 18 really helped salvage my day.
I will be back and will definitely recommend to others in the Wichita-area who are tired of the overcrowded (Auburn Hills) and poorly maintained (MacDonald) courses in the city.
this course is well kept
The course was very nice. The front 9 was a little confusing not knowing the layout because it used to be a 9 hole then turned into an 18. Was a fantastic course. The greens were fast and very challenging but was an excellent way to get you putting down.
Basic layout but greens will present a challenge if on wrong side of the pin, always enjoy playing in Cheney
Windy day on the links
My worst day on the golf course is better any day working. The wind was blowing about 40 mph, and it was only the 2nd time I had played in the past 6 months. I didn’t play particularly well but I managed to break 100. I shot a 95!
