Good day for golf!
I love playing at Cherry Oaks, the course is always in great condition. It is challenging but not extreme. It was a great day for golf the weather was hot but not too hot. There was a light wind out of the north east but it wasn’t bad. I didn’t play particularly well but it was still a great round. I played with 2 of my friends and they both played better than me.
Cherry Oaks!
Always enjoy Cherry Oaks. Pace of play never an issue. While a basic layout, not hitting fairway may cost you (trees, rough, etc) but that is golf. Greens will present challenge at times because there are gradual slopes you have to be aware of. Can’t wait for trees on back nine to mature like the front nine - will truly be a great course.
Good day for golf
The temperature was 98 degrees with a 30 mph wind, but any day on this golf course is a good day for golf!
The fairways were in great condition and so were the greens, not too fast but manageable. There were four of us playing we all had a great time!
Cherry Oaks always fun
Always fun round.... not too difficult if you’re able to stay away from some of the trouble spots. Greens arent totally flat and positioning your ball ball in the right spot on the green will help eliminate the dreaded three-putt. Can’t wait until the trees on the back nine mature.... will be a really neat course. Always fun round for the money and pace of play is good!!
Great Layout course in amazing shape.
Had a good mix between short And long par 4s. Greens and collars in great shape. One of the better courses in the area.
One of the best
I've lived in Hutchinson for past several years. Had no idea what a nice 18 course Cheney was until my brother and I gave it go a couple of weeks ago.
A total gem a few miles from Wichita. Will be there often now that I know.
Course conditions are excellent! Wide open fairways so few balls lost. Greens tricky so you gotta be alert.
It was a good day for golf
The weather was great, the course was in good shape, and it wasn’t to crowded. I didn’t play as we’ll as I have but that’s ok, I’m still recovering from rotator cuff surgery.
My favorite golf course!
I always love playing golf at Cherry Oaks! This was not a good day to play! The wind was blowing terribly and it was cold. I probably would have enjoyed it more if the conditions had been more favorable.
I’m still recovering from shoulder surgery so I’m not a 100 percent and that had a lot to do with my round.
Great day at golf
Sharon was great and got people playing as quickly as possible after AM tournament
18 is Better than 9!
I have played Cherry Oaks many times over the last couple of years and I love it.
I was a member of the country club where I live but I gave up my membership because they went from a 18 hole course to a 9 and I don’t like the idea of playing the same holes twice and having to pay the monthly rate that is more expensive than driving 50 miles to play a18 hole course.
Fun course for a day out
While this course won't blow you away with innovative design, it's always in relatively good shape. The back 9 is much different than the front 9 and feels like the design was someone's first project. The front is challenging, opening with a 480 yard par 4 which typically plays into the wind. This hole is generally regarded as one of the most difficult holes in the area. The back 9 is incredibly flat, wide open and offers little challenge other than sheer length.
January Golf
The course was in excellent condition for the season and the pin location was challenging.
