Incredibly small greens
Bring your darts. The greens are the smallest I’ve ever played. To add an unenjoyable aspect, the pins are just a few feet off the fringes and frequently on slopes.
There is a par 3 of ~200 yards that is one of the most difficult par 3 holes I’ve played. It is a silly hole with the green being ~25 to 30 feet wide with a hill on the left and downhill on the right. If you don’t hit the green off the box, it’s no less than a 4 and likely goes up from there.
The course and greens are in fantastic condition.
The scenery is sparkling good.
My favorite public course in Northern Kentucky
You will not find better conditions for the green fees paid. The course is in fantastic shape. The staff is very friendly, and the senior discount rate is a huge plus.
Hickory Sticks
Very nice course. Conditions were very nice for the fall. Very green and lush.
So much potential...
Visited on the way to Atlanta.
Course was cart path only due to drought conditions. Not a course you want that. Lots of undulation.
Greens were surprisingly slow. Needed a trim.
Fairways were very dry and in ok condition.
Think we played this course at a less than ideal time. I bet it's fantastic when maintenance is current and not dried out.
Loved the layout. Gorgeous.
Would visit again.
Painfully slow play
I would highly recommend this course have an “active” ranger on duty (note: this was on a Friday around 1:30pm). We waited on the tee and in the fairway on literally 15 of the 18 holes. Several holes were backed up 3 groups deep at any given time. The group behind us called the pro shop on the back 9 (around the 14th hole) to see if they could do something about the groups ahead of us. The young gentleman behind the counter came out in a cart to apologize, but no actions were taken. The group behind us who called the pro shop eventually quit after the 16th hole. We finished the round just to see how long it actually took us… just a shade over 5 hours. Not good.
This course is a great place to play
I always love playing this course. The course was in great shape. Greens were in good shape.
Great course!
It’s a challenging course but I only play when there’s a deal on Golf Now. I take my step son golfing with me and the regular price is expensive, especially for two.
