Great value
This course is in good shape. The greens were consistent. This is a short course but requires shot shapes and placement. Better to keep the driver in the bag on some par 4s.
Great Course, Please Refill Par Aide Golf Ball Washers
Course needs to refill Par Aide Golf Ball Washers at each hole with water and soap. All of them that worked were bone dry without any water. The ones that did have water were broken or screws weren't tightened to work.
Course was good considering some dry conditions.
Very challenging with elevation changes.
Some real challenging par 3's here
Very good course conditions. But if your iron game is not at its best you'll really struggle with the par 3's. From the gold tees there is one that measures around 200 yds and it was playing into the wind.
Holes 9 and 18 are very challenging closing holes, so don't wait until then to try to even or win your match!
Nice course, but
We love the course, and have played it many times before over the years. The course is limited on water resources, so summer time can be challenging for them. Overall, they do a great job with the course.
The BUT is due to the clientele. We followed a group of 10 or so, that were more about drinking than playing golf. They caused the slow play, were extremely loud and quite frustrating to the five groups backed up behind them. We have experienced this on other visits, so be aware of this type of problem.
The rangers/starters attempted to help out, but were just as frustrated as us. I believe you will have a great time at the course, and recommend you give them a chance.
Great condition
The course is in great shape, fairways and greens look good. the course was busy but not slammed and we got to get out as a twosome without getting paired up
Hickory Sticks
This is probably the most non publicised courses in Northern Kentucky. This course is out in the middle of nowhere so only the locals know about it. By far the best public course in Campbell County and maybe Northern Kentucky. Course is in great shape all around, except for the gravel and clay bunkers with sand in them. Amazing views from a couple tees. A short course for those guys that like to use drivers on every hole, but still very challenging. Price is just about right for this course. Would definitely come back.
Course in good shape
I have played this course several times and it is currently in the best shape I have seen in a while. Greens are really nice Played 18 during the week in 2 hours 45 mis. Great time
Great place
Great place to hit all types of shots. Very hilly, but that is part of the challenge. Some holes are short, but the terrain and layout present a challenge.
Off the Beaten Path
Beautiful back in the woods course. Fire up your GPS driving there, as there are some small roads. Spectacular views with the rolling hills. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. You won't find beautifully groomed Bermuda or bent grass fairways like some top courses, but very well cared for course nonetheless. Greens in very good shape though quite hard. The course is short but challenging with lots of risk/reward decisions. Count on very few level lies. A fun round and well worth the drive. We will visit again.
Beautiful backwoods
This course is a bit off the beaten track, but definitely worth the trip. The elevation changes makes for challenging tee shots and many risk/reward holes. Course was in very good condition.
Good Thursday
No busy at all. Great round - fun and relaxed. The elevation changes makes it challenging. Even though the rough was just cut, the balls would sit down - keep em in the fairway!
Spring fling
The course is in perfect condition. This is a fail safe location for a location to play
quality
Best condition course I've played in two years. Handicapped friendly and course ranger and clubhouse staff very helpful. Best value course in Northern Kentucky, hands down.
Beautiful course in excellent condition
Our group never played this course before and we really enjoyed the experience. Lots of challenges, and terrain angles, all great to help with course management skill building. Course was in excellent condition, and the vistas were impressive. We will be back! And we think we figured out how to play hole 17 without hitting the water, it's in a strategic lay up!!
The greens are in great shape right now with moderate undelation.
Fun course to play with some great views especially at no. four and no. 10. The greens are a good test with good speed but not too fast. No. 17 is a fun down hill par five that gives the player a good chance for a birdie. There are several par fours that you can almost drive making for a short shot to the green. It is possible to walk the front but I would recommend a cart for the back nine.
Greens and fairways
The greens and fairways are in excellent condition for this time of year. Better than I have ever seen it in early September.
Not Bad...
The course was in good shape...Tee boxs could have been in a little better shape....Overall not a bad course...
