Hickory Sticks Golf Club

You know you are going to tee off after leagues get going. It's a given. Our tee time was set for 6:20. We tee'd off at 7:15.

The league on this night is incredibly SLOW. Slowest I've ever seen.

Starter was nice and let us tee off on 18, then go to 10. We finished 18 in about 20 minutes. Only because the group in front of took 15 minutes to play the hole!

Got to 10 and it was backed up 8 carts deep. So we went to 1 where we tee'd off in about 5 minutes. By the time we got to 2, we were waiting again. 3 was so backed up, we played 2 again. We only played 6 holes, but we played 5 of those twice because the league was so backed up.

I really like Hickory, but I'll never book a tee time after this league.

Took me about 25 minutes from Downtown. Course was in Excellent condition. Very Nice people both inside and on the course. Played in about 1 1/2 hours. Real value - beautiful spot overlooking the river. I'll be back.

Course was in exceptional condition. Staff was friendly. Pro shop and snack bar were underwhelming. Will definitely revisit this course soon.

Hickory Sticks is a very good deal for the money. The greens are especially good for the dollars spent.

I would say it's the best course I've played in NKY. Overall no complaints, plenty challenging. The only think I would knock is the grass being a bit high on the tee's. Other then that this is a hidden gem. Will def play again!

Absolutely beautiful! Very happy we made the trip from northern Ohio. We played in late October so rough and tee boxes were a little long and greens were somewhat sandy from aeration but you would have that on any course in this part of the country this time of the year. Definitely coming back next year mid season. A unique gem of a course.

I decided on Friday morning to play but wanted to stay close to home. I found this course on Golfnow and they are only about 15 minutes from my house. I made my reservations and drove out there. When I walked into the proshop I was not greeted even though there was just one other person in the room drinking coffee. . I gave my name at the counter and paid my fees. The cashier never asked me if I had played there before or if I knew where I was going and if I needed help. I walked out and put my clubs in a cart. There was no starter so I assumed this was okay. I found a sign that guided me to the first tee. At no time in the clubhouse or on the course was there any signage that stated that carts were to be driven on the path only. On each hole there was a sign in front of each green that had an arrow that pointed to the cart path with the word "Carts" on it. On the 7th hole I was driving down the fairway to my ball when a course employee yelled at me that carts were to be driven on the path only. I tried to explain that there was no signage and nobody ever told me this but he drove off. At that point I was so frustrated by my experience that I finished out the hole and left. It is safe to say that I will never return and surely will not direct my friends to play there in the future.

Watch for the deer!! Very good for all type of golfer.
Watch out for though hill!! There a killer on your legs.

A lot of elevation changes. Very challenging, yet forgiving fairways. This course is not as intimidating as it may look. Worth the time and money.

this course gives you the feel of being in the mountains away from it all great shape

Played this round with my wife and we both enjoyed the course, especially the views. Carts were in good shape and fast enough to handle the many hills. Overall the greens and fairways were in very good shape. The only warning I have is to be careful as you drive to and from the course. The road is extremely narrow and you need to be careful to watch for vehicles coming around the curves.

The course was in excellent condition. The toughest holes were the par 5's but overall it is a good course for the average player.

Northern Kentucky best golf course, great staff, great value and best kept fairways.

Everything about this course is great. I play courses all over Cincy and none are better. Greens are perfect very we'll kept.
Best views and scenery of any in the area. Beautiful !!!!!

Course in great shape as usual!! It's worth the drive.Course is a little tough but you can score there.

The one thing I would like to see them do is update yardage markers from tees. I like playing there for the deals even though it is a longer drive.

Was aware of the travel being from cincinnati and was pleasantly surprised by this course. Back 9 my twosome paired with another twosome but still had to wait for a foursome in front of us (thats golf at times). They had a poor rate of play to be frank.
