Spring fling
The course is in perfect condition. This is a fail safe location for a location to play
quality
Best condition course I've played in two years. Handicapped friendly and course ranger and clubhouse staff very helpful. Best value course in Northern Kentucky, hands down.
Beautiful course in excellent condition
Our group never played this course before and we really enjoyed the experience. Lots of challenges, and terrain angles, all great to help with course management skill building. Course was in excellent condition, and the vistas were impressive. We will be back! And we think we figured out how to play hole 17 without hitting the water, it's in a strategic lay up!!
The greens are in great shape right now with moderate undelation.
Fun course to play with some great views especially at no. four and no. 10. The greens are a good test with good speed but not too fast. No. 17 is a fun down hill par five that gives the player a good chance for a birdie. There are several par fours that you can almost drive making for a short shot to the green. It is possible to walk the front but I would recommend a cart for the back nine.
Greens and fairways
The greens and fairways are in excellent condition for this time of year. Better than I have ever seen it in early September.
Not Bad...
The course was in good shape...Tee boxs could have been in a little better shape....Overall not a bad course...
Always a good time
Course in very good shape, staff ultra-friendly, Quite a few risk/reward situations available. Overall a very good experience (minus the user error caused triple bogie that killed my round)
This course was fun and had great veiws.
I enjoy this course every time I play it, and will play here again in the future. I would recommend this course for anyone looking for a nice course play.
Well maintained course with a challenging hilly layout.
First time back at Hickory Sticks in several years and course looked and played great. Fairways are nice and green, Rough was nice and thick and greens perfectly manicured and in great shape. All in all for the 30$ we paid off of golf now you cant find a much better deal. If you haven't played Hickory Sticks you should its worth the drive.
Nice course
A lot of elevation to deal with, nice challenges you have to think of for second shot. Would be fine for novice players looking to have fun and competitive players looking to challenge one another. Enjoy your round I recommend the course, Fun awaits.
better than average
Need to have better or more directions on how exactly to get to the course because of the narrow roads coming from the AA highway. The greens were in great shape & the course itself was in good shape also. The course needs a little bit more of decriptors for different holes would help allot.
Great Course
The starter was very friendly and actually got us started before our scheduled tee time which was excellent. The staff inside were ok. The girl working there was excellent but the older male was rude and seemed to not know what he was doing. The course was well maintained and there were some really challenging holes. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone, just go to the girl inside not the older man.
Great little course!
Hidden in the hills overlooking the Ohio river Hickory Sticks is a great little course. It is really well maintained and as long as there has not been very recent heavy rain it holds up well. Greens are in good shape, carts are electric and in good shape. Really good variety of holes and some excellent views midst the Kentucky farmland.
greens in nice condition, course over all in nice shape
greens in nice condition, course over all in nice shape
Hilly
Being a Florida golfer (just visiting), this is a challenging hilly course. A few holes require landing on the fairway to avoid rolling down the hillside on either side. The rough is moderate. You will need to be able to accurately judge club adjustments because many of the greens are either much lower or higher than the tee box. Greens relatively quick even after hard rain. I was impressed with the condition of the entire course. Worth the drive to the country.
This course makes you think twice about every shot.
this is a very tight course that has the tendency to be unforgiving with hooks and slices off the tees, but it is extremely fun to play, I love a good challenge.
The course was hilly
I liked the course overall, hilly but fair. good shots were not left unrewarded.
gotta hit em straight
Very nice course conditions but lost several balls due to me missing the fairway. Lots of rolling hills so another reason to hit it straight. Very nice course feels like middle of nowhere getting too it. Overall was still better than working
Quiet, Relaxing Course
Nestled in the middle of nowhere is this very nice, green course. Being away from everything it is very quiet, and the course is maintained nicely. I found it to be very hilly, with few flat lies. Very challenging for a novice like myself, but fun at the same time.
