Fairways are horrible.
I’ve been playing this course for 20 years. Yesterday was really bad. The fairways had no grass, just dirt everywhere. I’ve played several courses this spring and none was even close to this bad. So much for new management making a difference.
Nice but iffy conditions
The fairways are still dormant. The greens are usually in better shape and the cart path is falling apart. The carts themselves are great and the turn dog was on point.
Not worth the drive
I called before booking my tee time to check the conditions of the course. I was told that the greens were in great shape and the fairways were brown, but still playable. The greens were in bad shape and the fairways were in poor shape. Not gonna be playing this course again.
Seems to be going downhill
Usually play Highpoint once a month. Sunday…not only were fairways dormant but nearly bare and still charging full price. Greens were ok not fast not slow, just ok. A foursome was two groups ahead of us taking approx 30-35 minutes per home. Mentioned it at the turn, no response. 4:45 minute round, not that crowded at 930 on a march morning.
Nice carts and pace of play
It was spring golf, so I'm not sure what condition it will be in during the season. Was not impressed with the conditions compared to other courses we played in lexington though. The nicest part was the carts, and the pace of play. The cart paths need a lot of help. Very bumpy, and broken up. Lots of weeds that might be addressed once the season is in full swing.
$24 for a 6 pack of domestic beer was a ridiculous price for this course, and the guy was really put out that we wanted ice for it too. Played another course in the area, and it was $12.50. Was not expecting resort prices for beverages.
Very slow
Good thing they have nice carts because you are going to spend a lot of time in them, pace of play very slow.
A nice course but slow play and unfriendly staff ruin it
Nice Track
Rolling hills and fairways - greens in excellent shape;
Directional signage needs improvement - especially at #8 hole/11 hole…
…both are Par 3s - tee box for 11 is right next to the directional cart path - didn’t see #8 to the right…
…played 11 then realized #8 was back up the hill…
…definitely challenges your shot placement…
…I’d play it again…
Not what it used to be!
Love the carts! Course in good shape! Pace was right on!
Great course
I love the course it was a very open but also had some tight spots the equipment like golf carts were the nicest that I’ve seen in KY
