Beautiful course
Fairways where in great condition for this time of year. Greens are very well maintained, and even though I don’t hit the fairway off the tee often I only lost a few balls if that tells you how clean they keep the rough.
Cart paths seemed brand new! Smoothest I’ve seen at a course. Carts are very nice and quiet.
Beautiful scenery! I’ll definitely play this course again when I’m back in the area.
Wry nice course and staff was friendly. For an older guy with high handicap the fair ways are a little tight. Everything else was spot on.
course in excellent shape, only complaint is cart paths were repaved but the yardage markers were never repainted on them
Will come back again.
This was the first time I have played here and would definitely come back. I would like to see what the greens looked and played when not aerated. The course itself is a unique layout but flows quite nicely.
The rough was tough and fall golf rules were in play( lost balls in leaves). Quite a hidden gem to play if you like a well maintained municipal course.
Challenging
People that don't understand course etiquette and pase of play should be watched .way to slow.
A Nice experience.
My son and I played this course for the first time and we will be back. Fantastic pro shop attendant who explained the course and the renovations that are under way. Not very crowded and an excellent value.
Nice course
This is a fun course, rewards good shots and punishes bad ones. Placement much more important than distance. Will play this one again!
Challenging Course
Tough course with tight fairways and thick rough. Sometimes fairway shots are not reward since trees block pin location
Fun course!
Had a great time, some easy holes, some more demanding. Should have played more irons off the tee for position. Next time!
Fun course. Great condition.
Great course. Fun layout. Conditions were perfect. Unfortunately we got caught behind a number of large groups 5+ at hole 9.
Shelbyville Country Club
Course was in great shape from tees to fairways to greens. Course layout is unusual with a tee or 2 close to a green that that does not follow that hole. Look for the signs. Getting used to that. Pro shop could use a better organized snack bar. Overall it is a great value.
First Impressions
Great course. Greens awesome, layout great!!
Fun course. Play a few more times to figure out the holes.
Only issue was lost a few extra balls due to high rough, but then that is golf!
Had a great time, club pool was hopping…,members were friendly and helpful when i got lost which was more often than usual. Course overlaps itself several places,
But artfully done…..
I would play again and it is 40 miles from Lexington.
Shelbyville GC is a great semi-private course!
For a club that has a large membership, SGC does a great job welcoming non-members and making them feel comfortable. Members are friendly and helpful. Course is well-maintained and offers plenty of challenges during every round. It's fair for all levels of play. I highly recommend playing this course if you're in the Louisville area.
