Fun Fall Round
Nice personnel greeted us in the pro shop. Headed out to a nicely manicured course. Greens rolled well. Rough offered good challenge without being too thick. Shorter course with challenging, thought provoking layout. Playing a second round would go better after a learning round. Only beef is the REALLY LONG par 3's. Yeah, not getting par on those. Pace was great with a later tee time and imperfect weather, fewer folks on the course. Would play again, especially with the hot deal on GolfNow.
Nice Course
First time I played here but really enjoyed it. The layout is a little hard to navigate but I made it around fine. Helps to know where you can and can’t hit it off the tee so the second time will be better I am sure.
Shelbyville C.C.
Played there once 2 years ago. Course condition has improved.Greens had been dressed 2-3 weeks ago and were still a little bumpy. Fairways were long, leading to too many leaves in landing areas. Area has been dry so could have been mowed. Overall a good course and staff was friendly. The twosome we joined knew the course or the blind drives would have been a big problem. Worth trying again soon.
FUN, FAIR, ALWAYS A GOOD TEST
I have played this course off and on for 35 years. I always enjoy the layout and overall quality of the course. The greens need about 2 more weeks because they were still quite sandy and a little slow from being aerated 2 weeks ago.
Challenging golf course.
Greens conditions is a highlight of this tricky golf course layout. Be very careful in locating hole numbers 3 & 6 tee boxes. It is easy to get off track here. The course has plenty of length to challenge big hitters off the tees, even though blues are the tips. No pro tees. Lots of blind shots and OB throughout.
Couldn't Play
Always enjoy the course, and the GolfNow rate. But had a schedule conflict come up that morning. And unfortunately, long phone wait with GolfNow customer support prevented me from cancelling for a refund.
Very good course
The course was in great shape with the exception of a couple of tee boxes. Would definitely play again.
Fun course, tricky greens
I really enjoy playing Shelbyville CC. The length fits my game and the greens are never easy. There's no gimmies at SCC. If I lived closer, I would likely make this my home course and become a member.
Nice course
The layout of the course makes it a good course. Holes aren’t long but layout makes it difficult.
Get what you pay for
Rough greens, slow with just patches of sand where they’re dead. Staff was okay but members were something else, rude as heck...Far from a “country club”. Wacky lay out with little directional signage
