The Woodford Club

This was my first time playing but won’t be my last. Easy to get to, just off the Bluegrass Parkway via the Versailles exit. Nestled next to a horse farm. Restaurant and Bar, Pro Shop with everything you need, complimentary range balls, and a friendly staff. This course set up has various elevation changes and doglegs left and right. Fairways were in good shape, and the greens were very playable and had very little heat damage, as many in the area have died. Course plays short and friendly for all skill levels. I was very pleased with my visit.

Have played here occasionally over past 30 years. It has never been better. Fairways might be best condition of any course I’ve played in KY this year. Greens very good as well. This place is just a gem and beautiful scenery.

Course was maintained pretty well over all. The greens and fairways were in good condition however tee boxes are not great. Staff was nice and they have a nice practice green and range. Course layout is a bit odd bit and clunky. $60.00 for a round isn’t a good deal so look out for hit deals

Great track, pretty forgiving for a course with that much foliage. Fairways are phenomenal but greens run pretty slow. Could be a very challenging course with less water on the grass.

Have played this course many times over the years and consider it my home course. The rates were recently raised, even though they got rid of the cart GPS system they had. There is no starter/ranger and they will stuff as many golfers as they can on the course with no care in the world regarding pace of play. 3 hours to play 9 holes recently, so my group left at the turn. Staff is always nice and the course is in great shape but unfortunately I, nor my family will be coming back here until they address pace issue and for that price they should have GPS. I can pay the same or less for more elsewhere.

Tee time at 10:09 had to tee off on back 9 b/c three groups waiting on 1st tee, no big deal been here before and know that’s a possibility, fairway had tons of clippings, every green was packed full of divots that had never been attended too, range was closed so no shots before the round, employee drove right by us while driving on 9. Make the turn and the club house is closed no lunch, no beer , no water. This is probably the most expensive golf course close to me (very close I live 5 miles away) I will be going to Juniper hills, Gay brewer, Tates Creek from now on, 66 bucks for a round at a below par course. I really wish it was better for how close it is.

Course over all was decent. But I have played at better courses that charged less than what we paid for here. The club missed opportunity to have hot food ready at the turn. Buddy and I were ready to re-load for back 9 and the course on a Saturday had no food/drink options available.

Not a friendly course for a new golfer

Second or third time I’ve been here and there is a group teenagers doing whatever they want. 5 hour pace

Played this course several times before. But this time the grass anywhere but the fairway was so tall you could not find a ball if you knew exactly where it was. You could hit a good shot only to go to the ball and it was impossible to find. Fairway shots are a must or you will spend all day looking for a ball that you know where it went. Beyond frustrating!!

I booked on Golfnow for $45.00 expecting to ride. At the course, I was told the riding rate was $60.00 and must have booked wrong. After, the round I discovered I had booked the riding rate at $45.00--the course charged me incorrectly. I did not believe I should have been charged the riding rate, nor do I believe the course was worth $60.00. The course would not refund my charge.

Not signals around the tee, restrooms on the court closed or locked all the time, tee areas not designated properly.

The gallery or the boutique is good enough. Restaurant near is good.

Staff is mad friendly and engaging. Free range balls. Great practice green.
