Great course
Great course for the price on golf now. I would not recommend paying full price ($72)
Above Average
The course is above average. The greens are small, the fairways are tight. Both the fairways and greens were in decent shape. The rough cut is clover and needs attention. The bunkers are in better than average shape. A beer cart would be nice. My round was $72 total. I don’t think that is a valued price for the course. This course is comparable to a nice city course that cost $50 a round. Maybe the competition in the area being non existent allows the price to be elevated.
Goat Ranch
This course is way overpriced for this area, especially one in this condition. It was 90 degrees and completely dry that day but the Driving Range was closed because they said it rained the day before. Practice green had sticks to putt at and no holes. There were no signs on the course depicting what hole you were on, or what the par was, or how far the hole was. The rough was so tall and had numerous weeds throughout especially clover which caused our group to lose numerous golf balls in places they should've been found. Bunkers hadn't been raked and most of them had black matting coming up through the sand in places. Almost every green had numerous dead spots throughout. The fringe area around most every green had cratered dirt areas to chip or putt through and looked as if they made no attempt to fix these areas. Probably 5 or 6 tee markers were missing throughout and most of the tee boxes were in rough shape. The 3 groups in front of us had a single, a twosome, and another single, so obviously they don't know how to pair groups together. Both water coolers on the course had room temperature water to drink and it was 90 degrees outside. At the turn we went in what is called the Bogey Room for a quick snack, waited several minutes and nobody was there so we just left. I have played this course a few times in the past and don't ever remember the course being so expensive (about $60) and in such bad shape. All in all, I would say stay away from this course unless you have no other options.
Woodford Club
Would Recommend Close Observation To Above Pin Putts
WOODFORD CLUB
Many Trees! So I Will Say This, Requires Treecision From The Tee Boxes. Course In Great Shape
Wonderful Course
I would highly recommend Woodford to any golfer. Never to busy, beautiful course, and great food!
Over priced
$72 is an outrageous price for this course. Its a $40 course at best. They built a new pro shop and are trying to get their money back
Oh my...it was not good.
We were excited when we hot to play for 49bdollars for us both cart included. We also got free range balls. Woodford so we hoped it would be a pretty good course. Oh dear, it was terrible. Everything about it was in very poor condition. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were not good. Lots of forward tees were just on grass that wasn't even cut. My wife wasn't impressed. The greens weren't terrible but the rest of the course was. We would recommend not playing there even at 50 for 2 people. Fairways were absolutely dreadful and tee boxes were no better. Plus a 5 hour round. Jamming group after group on...terrible experience overall. Stay away.
Pleasantly Surprised
This was my first time playing but won’t be my last. Easy to get to, just off the Bluegrass Parkway via the Versailles exit. Nestled next to a horse farm. Restaurant and Bar, Pro Shop with everything you need, complimentary range balls, and a friendly staff. This course set up has various elevation changes and doglegs left and right. Fairways were in good shape, and the greens were very playable and had very little heat damage, as many in the area have died. Course plays short and friendly for all skill levels. I was very pleased with my visit.
Woodford club
Have played here occasionally over past 30 years. It has never been better. Fairways might be best condition of any course I’ve played in KY this year. Greens very good as well. This place is just a gem and beautiful scenery.
Acceptable if not paying full price
Course was maintained pretty well over all. The greens and fairways were in good condition however tee boxes are not great. Staff was nice and they have a nice practice green and range. Course layout is a bit odd bit and clunky. $60.00 for a round isn’t a good deal so look out for hit deals
Yup
Great track, pretty forgiving for a course with that much foliage. Fairways are phenomenal but greens run pretty slow. Could be a very challenging course with less water on the grass.
