About
Situated along the shores of the Potomac River in southern Maryland, Swan Point Country Club has been ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in the state. Golfers who enjoy playing in the Carolinas will feel right at home on this course. Water or marshland comes into play on 12 holes and there is an abundance of pine trees. The course is also home to a variety of wildlife including osprey, bald eagles, and deer. In addition to the water, strategically placed bunkers add another challenging element to the golf course. The par-5 fourth hole is considered the signature, mostly due to the challenging island green. Proper club selection is key in order to maneuver past the lake that runs along the entire left side of the fairway. The hole is especially hard on windy days.

Course layout was fun!
Course layout was great, greens need some help but very playable. Fun day!
Odd business model
The course is a good one. It’s very odd how the beer is in the pro shop and ice in the bar. POS system is slow…too slow…makes checking in long. Course closes at 6pm…a bit odd considering it’s dark at 8pm. Lose money as we were going to play another 9. Cash only on the beverage cart and the snack shop…there are so many options for mobile credit/debit service. They are far away from much of anything. To maximize their profits it would make sense to finish the the loop with these things. It’s probably the best track in Southern Maryland. Missing these things and the distance is what we don’t go as often as we would.
Great Course
Hard to find a course any more beautiful than Swan Point. Fairways and bunkers are in treat condition. Majority of greens were in great shape but a few had some worn areas near the edges.
Can’t beat it for the price!
Beautiful course on the Potomac River. Great layout. course was in a bit of rough condition. Tee boxes were very bare. Fairways were so so. Traps were hard as a rock but it did rain the day before and I’m sure they didn’t have a chance to work on them. Greens had just been punched in probably the last week. Hopefully everything gets back to normal because it can be such a nice course.

Nice challenging course. Fairways are in good condition, greens were just punched so had to judge.
Great value
Great value. The pace was awesome mostly because the course was empty which was odd for a Sat afternoon. The greens were fantastic, fast and in great shape. The fairways are still dormant but in good shape. Conditions were wet due to all the rain lately, but very playable. The staff was very friendly especially the man in the pro shop. I’ll definitely play here again.
Great Course
I live in Richmond VA and come here often to play this course , it is truly a beautiful place to play. The staff is always friendly , and the food is great an priced well .. The layout and view is just amazing . To the ownership keep doing what you are doing !!! S. G.
