The course is not worth it at this time.
The staff was really nice and the facilities were nice. I was expecting a nice course because its in a private club. The course layout was not bad but the greens were in terrible conditions. It was cracked mud/dirt on 6/9 holes on the course. The other three were not terrible but not good either. Definitely save your money and play somewhere else.
Decent round
Course either needs a beverage cart or water jugs on the course. It was 90 degrees and 60% humidity with NO water... Course is fun 9 hole layout but lots of areas were in bad shape
This course requires you to play the same nine holes back to back from two different sets of tees and different pins. Although the different tees do offer unique challenges, at the end of the day it's still the same holes. And, because they are the same holes, it can easily backed up with golfers on the front and back on the same hole.
On a separate note, the Pro Shop is difficult to locate and didn't have a lot of products for sale. But, the staff was very flexible and friendly.
Greens in the best shape in years
The greens were rated in mid April and sanded heavily coming in really nice
Good time at Hawthorne.
Brain and his staff were great. I enjoyed the pace of play and uniqueness of the course. Great bar! Will be back!
Course not worth the price I was charged.
My only complaint for the condition of the course it was priced to high. The sand traps where full of stones and cart paths where in bad condition. The bridges were in dangerous condition. In my opinion the cost should have been in 25 to 35 range at most.
Challenging 9 hole course
The team did a great job moving tee boxes around from front to back so the look and play of the course remains challenging when you repeat the hole. I especially liked the dual hole system you have on the greens!
I went from frustration to elation as I learned the nuances of the course.
Very nice layout but not great condition
The course seems hardly a ‘country club’ but has a very nice layout and terrain, but not in good condition, leaves a bit to be desired.
Fun course, will have to yourself, conditions struggling
Not as bad as 3 yrs ago but greens struggling rest of course shaggy

It a really good layout but they really need a greens keeper cause their greens are running to terrible from poor
