Potomac Shores Golf Club

This is a beautiful golf course. It’s a spectacular layout with a lot of elevation change and some really cool holes. That is in great condition. I played it on a beautiful fall day with the leaves changing colors and it really was an incredibly pretty course. It’s too bad that something has controllable and fixable as pay of supply Can be so entirely missed. Not one Marshall and there were times that there were four groups on a part four which is just plain unacceptable. The people who run this course should understand that while some people will come back regardless of the pace, others like me will not, and will tell their friends to stay away.

A unique course layout offering a tough challenge but fair. Lots of sloping greens and fairways. Beautiful conditions and a true test!

Overall course in great shape some tboxes need work the greens ran true even though they were aerated Monday and Tuesday definitely will play there again

For the most part the course was in great shape, but our foursome all had the same complaint. The grass around the greens was patchy at best with all of us experiencing bare lies on more than one occasion. Sure we all wish we hit every green, but we're weekend golfers and for the price would expect there to be good conditions throughout the course.

This is an amazing course. We played right after early morning rain and the drainage was go good, they still let us drive on the fairway. The course is well maintained and the the greens are fast. The club house food price was great and they give you lots of food.

The course was in great shape irrespective of all the storms we had in the area. Probably the best in terns of course conditions. Liked everything about our round!

This is a great track. Fantastic layout, perfect fairways, fluffy sand, but something is missing. For $150 and this place is worth it but is missing some obvious small upgrades to make it truly special.

1) For the price, you expect a GPS in the cart. Not a deal breaker, but it seems out of place.

2) No club attendee at bag drop. Again, something you tend to expect for $150

3) Only saw cart girl 2x and only two water stations on course.

Again - great course but you expect a little more for the price

Teeboxes, fairways and greens in great shape. Played on a Friday with 4 foursomes ahead of us . 4.5 hours to finish the round is average. Friendly staff and nice clubhouse facilities. If you are in the area you should play the course. Many challenging holes and great scenery

My son and I decided to play Potomac Shores on the last day of a golf trip to Virginia. I’m so glad we did! Great conditions on a great course even in late July. Will 100% try to get back.

Course is in rough shape. Tons of pitch marks and little things that could make it so much nicer. Such as some ground under repair markers or anything really. Bare places which should be fixed, etc.

DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. First, the pace of play is abysmal. It took nearly six hours to get through 18 holes, and not once did a marshal step in to move things along. It felt like the entire operation was asleep at the wheel. If you value your time, don’t waste it here.

The staff from the pro shop to the starters gave off the vibe that they were doing us a favor just by showing up. Completely unwelcoming and lacking the basic courtesy or enthusiasm you’d expect from any course that charges this much. It’s not a country club, but they sure act like they think it is.

For $100 plus per player the Greens were patchy and inconsistent. Fairways looked like they hadn’t been cut in a week, and bunkers were hard as concrete. It’s like they spent all their money on the layout and forgot the course actually needs to be maintained.

Potomac Shores is a textbook example of style over substance. There are plenty of better, more affordable, and more professionally run courses in Northern Virginia. Don’t believe the hype. This is not a $100 plus golf course.
