About
Situated along the shores of the Potomac River in southern Maryland, Swan Point Country Club has been ranked as one of the top 10 golf courses in the state. Golfers who enjoy playing in the Carolinas will feel right at home on this course. Water or marshland comes into play on 12 holes and there is an abundance of pine trees. The course is also home to a variety of wildlife including osprey, bald eagles, and deer. In addition to the water, strategically placed bunkers add another challenging element to the golf course. The par-5 fourth hole is considered the signature, mostly due to the challenging island green. Proper club selection is key in order to maneuver past the lake that runs along the entire left side of the fairway. The hole is especially hard on windy days.

I made a tee time for Monday 26 July the day before. At no time did anyone inform me that fairways were being corred when we played. After complaining to management after the round, not much was said other than, I get it, you didn't enjoy the round. This is probably the third time this has happened. Twice before when the course was unplayable due to standing water in the fairways. Ensure you ask whom ever is taking your reservation if rain could be a course issue because they won't offer any info.

Very Good Place to Play
As I single it would have been nice to be paired up but no openings were available. It was a great day and the course was in good condition. Nice pro shop and the crab cakes were excellent.
Perfect
Perfect day on a perfect golf course. Staff was friendly, course in great condition, and weather was perfect. I could not be more complimentary towards any golf course. And on top of what I just said, as I arrived at course while walking towards club house, a lady ask if I was new to course. I answered in the affirmative and first thing her and husband ask if I would like to play with them. What great hosts they were. Perfect.
Best day
Hard to imagine there could be a better day of golf. Staff was friendly and courteous. As I pulled up in parking lot an Asian couple said hello and asked if I was new to course. Next thing you know they ask me to play with them so they could show me around. Course was not crowded, in excellent condition, and it was 79 degrees. It doesn’t get any better. I traveled almost 2 hours to play this course and didn’t regret a moment of the drive. Would become member of it wasn’t for the location. Super day.

The course has an absolutely wonderful layout very strong. greens were in excellent condition course was a little wet from rain cartpath only but overall not bad definitely can see how difficult this would play if it was 100% dry

Course was in great shape. I’ve never seen greens that good. Fairways in amazing shape. Staff was awesome and helpful! Definitely playing again and soon!
