Henson Creek Golf Course

This is the perfect course for an intermediate player wanting to practice a quick 9, but also great for beginner players as well. It is the best value course in the DMV. It is well maintained for its price and easy to get a tee time, and the people that play there seem friendly and have a good community.

Super friendly staff. Nice variety of water and sand hazards. Still pretty easy for us high handicappers.

We had a foursome that included 2 novice golfers thus, the pace was a little slower than usual. The problem was that staff asked us to leave the course around 7pm because they had to close the gate. There was still lots of daylight so I was unclear why they needed to close. We were asked to leave while we were trying to finish hole 7. I’ve never experienced anything like this on a golf course. If we were men, I don’t believe we would have been treated as such.

This course has made steady improvements over the years and is in wonderful condition. Be advised that if you are a senior, your rate will be cheaper in person at the course.

I don't live very far from this course so I make it a point to try and get out just to hone my skills a little better on this nine-hole golf course. You could technically play this course without a driver at all, but why takes the fun out of it. The grounds crew has done a phenomenal job with the course and every time I have played there maintenance personnel can always be seen adding that little extra detail that makes the course that much more exciting. You can't beat it for the price as you can physically see the upgrades taking place monthly.Great job HC staff.

So the staff and mgmt are excellent and very communicative it’s unfortunately league season (walking) & even tho my tee time was later it was impacted due to timing. So it’s better to plan to play Wed-Fri after 3pm than trying to get in on either Mon or Tue. But I love the course great for getting swings and puts in

Nice course. Pretty easy but 5 hours is to long for a round on such an easy course. Nice course and in good condition.

Booked an afternoon tee time for what I thought would be a leisurely nine hole round, only to be told “you cant’t tee off” due to a weekly tournament scheduled an hour later. Bad business from my perspective…

Staff was great, wide open fairways, not too challenging of a course. Staff was super friendly. It was hot, so they had multiple water stations. Greens need a little bit of work to get into better condition, but I enjoyed the round and would play there again.

I love playing this course. It is created for shot makers. I play here often. Never have a problem getting a tee time.

Great value for the price. Not a very long course. Good practice for iron game Glad to have access to such a course.
