Course was not grown in fair lies not consistant
Course needs so love
BYO water and bug spray
Empty water coolers all around n 90 degree afternoon. Biting flies start in the 9th hole and followed us thru to 15th and we had to just quit. Passing out from heat and no water. Biting files put us over the top. They buy us through clothing including thick socks. Had a dozen in my back and came home with awful welts. Course overall is nice for the money.
It’s been in better condition
Course is under construction- new forward tee boxes being constructed on several holes. Two par 3s have been temporarily shortened to under 100 yards. Current tee boxes need attention(leveling and better grass/less weeds) more so than adding new forward tees. Pace of play is usually too slow but we got lucky this time and played in 3hrs 15 min. Probably because there were light rain showers and not many golfers.
Most Helpful Staff in DC area!!
Greendale gets it right when it comes to customer service. Every time.
Greens a little burned out on a few holes, but were being maintaned well.
Could be a lil more attention to marshalling. The pace of pllay was painful!!
Great value and fun layout
Course is a muni and gets a lot of play. They have worked hard to improve conditions over the last 3 years. Still shows the wear and tear but not as bad. Greens are in decent shape and receptive but could use help for golfers to repair ball marks. Fairways and rough are in good shape. Tee boxes have improved. Overall a good value in Northern Virginia at $45 with a cart on a Sunday. Teed off at 10:10 and finished in 4 hours 30 minutes even with a slow foursome ahead on the front nine.
Over price
Condition is awful..can't even tell between Farway and rough. Green is in bad condition.. they shoul be a shame charging almost $70 to play..should be $25 considering the condition of the course
Fix your tee boxes
I would have rated this course straight 5's .the tee boxes were nasty. One of the best muni courses in NOVA.
Greendale Golf Course (GRF)
Inexpensive place close to home. Looks like it was recently renovated. The course was in great shape. Not too hilly except for the last couple of holes, good for walking. Enjoy!
Great for the money and a nice course to walk
My only issue is with golfers not repairing their divots on the greens, would be in great shape for a public course otherwise IMO.
