Great Layout
I have played this course many times over the years. Always a fun course. However, I was a little surprised with recent conditions. While other courses in the area are greening up and filling in, it seems Challedon is late to the game. The course was extremely dry and still very brown despite good weather.
Every Club in the Bag
Have enjoyed playing this course over the years. Can’t say enough about how well it was manicured around the greens and they had to be rolling close to an 11…wow fantastic!! As a plus handicap the course is not overly long or overly challenging. However, this is one of the very few courses that I use every club in the bag. It is definitely not a driver then wedge kinda place. The staff is super friendly and the after round bar scene is fantastic with more friendly staff and some pretty good food…I def recommend the Crab Dip. Got a great GolfNow rate and I would recommend this course to anyone.

Excellent greens
Rainy day and expected the greens to be soft and slow, but they were great. Some of the faster greens I have played this winter and pretty smooth. Course is a good value. Only complaint is too many uneven tee boxes.

Great condition and fast drying!
It has been very wet recently and I was really impressed with how dry the course was (with the exception of hole 11). Fairways and greens were in really great shape, and the course layout was a lot of fun. The pro shop were extremely helpful too. I walked the course and it's definitely on the longer side between tee boxes with some solid elevation gain and loss (my total round was 6.85 miles). Highly recommend this course and I will definitely come back when it's a little warmer.

Great Course
I was skeptical about playing golf 1/27/2024 because the weather in the week leading up provided 6 inches of snow and an inch of rain. By the time I got to the first fairway, you wouldn’t even know about all the precipitation. The course was in phenomenal condition (90% dry) after the weather and let alone being mid January. Tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens all looked like mid spring. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Major kudos to the grounds crew and superintendent!

Great winter shape
The course is playing as good as it can for winter conditions. Greens rolling true with pretty decent roll out. Pace of play was nice as there aren’t as many who brave the cold.
Fun
Great set up, plan to play with a plan or be deceived by layout.
Stuck behind group of about ten fousomes
Slow play - course should let you know when you're following a group of about fifty which were slow players
