Poor management
Horribly managed, confusion with starter as he is working cart inventory as well as other things. No rangers or beverage cart. They send groups off on 10 when leagues are going off the front. Very apologetic when you complain, but don't correct the problem. Too many professionally run couses located nearby to pay premium dollars for sub standard services.

Water?
Course was dry, no sand in most traps. Greens have not been maintained. Change hole locations at least once a year! Lol. So many spike marks and un repaired divots. Did what we could. Grass is I. Terrible shape. Tee boxes are like hitting out of rough with uphill, downhill and side hill boxes. Worse shape I’ve seen a course in awhile. And all this for 80 bucks! Garbage! They do have pretty good Crabcakes. 30 for one. Extremely disappointed. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Variety of holes
The course was very fair. Greens looked faster then they actually were. Pace of play could be a problem. Holes offered a variety of shots and approaches. They were short on staff in bar/restaurant area.

Great course, but suffering
Always love playing this course, but the weather has not been kind this season. Greens were very inconsistent - slow, not breaking, and breaking ugly; hard to get a smooth roll. Tee boxes are growing back from a prior reseeding so sometimes inconsistent also.
With the weather conditions, plus the fact that this course can punish you with a lot of white stakes OB, it was a little bit of a rough round. But always fun to play, even in spite of things.

Happy to revisit Challedon
After moving to NC over a year ago, it was a pleasure to play Challedon again. It’s obvious the management wants it’s golfer to have a nice experience. The price is affordable, the staff very friendly but most important, the course is in excellent condition. Very impressed with the condition of the tee boxes and greens (extremely fast today but fair after the getting used too after the first couple of hole). If your looking for an enjoyable round, add Challedon to your list of courses to play.
As a addd plus, stop by the grill for a nice lunch and cold drink after your round.

Excellent value for the money
The course was in good condition and was challenging but not too difficult. The rough was cut short which made it easy to find balls and kept the pace of play up. Of course amenities were slow.
Overall I would recommend the course and play again.

Grass along the fairway to long
I thought the grass was to long....lost a few balls in the grass, not accustomed to loosing that many in a round

Little Pricey but gray if you get a deal
Greens were aerated recently and course is in decent shape but not for $70 a round. The driving range is not the greatest as the mats move around yardage isn’t clear

We feel for the condition and beautiful layout, our prices are great, especially when it includes a cart.
As you know aeration is critical for turf health, and healing is complete now.
