Links at Challedon

I have called the club house letting them know that either the group ahead or one before is very slow and was told that they will come out to investigate but no one did. We ended up waiting on every tee box, including the 9th tee box which was our last hole since we started back nine. I don't know why no marshall on the course on what seemed like a full day. Happy with everything else.

First time at this course. Friendly and helpful in the pro shop. It had recently snowed and the course had been closed the day before we played so there were 2 holes still closed off, but that was no issue. The rest of the course was very nice and in pretty good shape considering the season is just beginning-- which was a pleasant surprised since I'd expected that the snow would have left the course wet and muddy. Instead, it was fairly dry. They had it cart path only which made sense. Course is a pleasure to play--- cart paths are very nicely maintained and the carts were the best at any course in the area we have played in the last few years. Rates were very reasonable. Clean and newly renovated restrooms inside. The Grille was closed at 3pm or we would have eaten dinner after our round. So now we plan to return and will try their restaurant when we do. Starter was very good and managing the starts well to keep everyone on time. Very much liked that they set the expectation of a 4-hour round. Shows that they care about everyone's experience and that's a strong positive for this course and much appreciated. The whole course and staff really left us with a great impression.

I play here at least twice a month and Challedon GC has always friendly staff and the course conditions are very well maintained. Highly recommended for any golf enthusiasts.

First, I like the layout of Links of Challendon. My reservation was for 02/17. I called Challedon on 02/16 to confirm that the course will be open the next day because we recently had some snow in the area. The gentleman at the pro shop said "doubt it, if we do some of the holes will not be opened because we still have snow on the ground." I asked what should I do with the reservation scheduled for the next day and he recommended to cancel so he did. On 02/17, it was a warm day and I checked my TeeOff account and the reservation was still there. I called the golf course and they said the course is fully opened. I then asked about my original tee time that was previously cancelled and it was gone. I then had a (3) way call with Chris (golf pro at Challendon) and TeeOff because I wanted a credit for the pre-paid tee time especially if Challendon had already sold my original tee time to someone else and both TeeOff and Challendon would not issue me a credit. I am not even asking for a refund, simply a credit and they would not do it. The worst part is I took the day off to play and Challendon did NOT lose out on the tee time as they already sold it to someone else. Extremely frustrating.

Played a round here last week. Course was in great shape, staff were extremely friendly and food was phenomenal. You must try the crab cakes after your round!!
