On my not to play list again
Been playing this track on and off since it opened since its the closest course to my house. Many different owners and mgmt.
Seemed like it was getting better again but after yesterdays round I don't think so. They are just about making money and not taking care of course or players.A 5 hour round in 95+ degrees isn't fun. Funny that signs on every cart say a 4 hour round is expected. They said there was a tournament with inexperienced players that slowed everything down. Why have a tournament on a Sunday morning? Won't be back anytime soon.
Wonderful conditions and pace of play
Had an early t time and finished in under 4 hours. Pace of play was perfect. Course conditions were very good form the tees to the greens. Looks like the cicada killer wasp just hatch on a few holes, but should be short lived and they don’t bother you.

Always enjoyable
Up from NC for a family visit. Making a Challedon tee time always a priority. Played 18 this morning - great temperature, blue skies but most important, Challedon in great shape. Tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers all in prime condition (obviously the recent rains have helped). Also, alwayst nice to see some of the Challedon members and employees again. Hopefully another 18 before we head back to Sunset Beach, NC.

Pefect Morning
Teed up at 6:30am by myself. Light breeze sunny 68 degree June morning. Very little dew on the greens. Pretty Perfect Day.
For starters, all parts of my game were finally there ( a rare feat) , even with the 3 Rory's ( very makeable missed putts of 3 feet even for a daily fee golfer) , I scored a 78. My best score in maybe 10 years. From Tee Box to Greens the course was in GREAT shape. Even the sand traps were groomed and well taken care of.. I honestly can't think of anything wrong with the course conditions. . High recommend this course. Because of my play today, I won't play it again until next year as I have to savor my small victory before this course chews me up as it has the last 7 times I have played here since 2018, What a fun start to my day, a 2 1/4 hour round at 90 degree cart rule..
