About
Nestled in the foothills of the Catoctin Mountains about 15 minutes from Fredricksburg, Glade Valley Golf Club has been selected as a top-100 golf course in the Mid-Atlantic region by Washington Golf Monthly. The Jim Reck design, which opened in 1990, has a nice mix of woods, water, natural habitat and sand traps that will test golfers, but the golf course isn't overly difficult.

Welcoming Course In Every Way
Staff is always great, course is in fantastic shape save for a few hazards being renovated. The layout is welcoming and can be played by high handicapped players without feeling too challenging. Views are great on the back nine, just always a pleasant experience here.

A diamond in the rough
I have never been at this course until this year and I only have one word WOW. Very impressed not only by the staff and amenities but by the course conditions themselves. I don’t really want to say it because it will now become busy and hard for me to get a tee time, but one of the better and most enjoyable and fun and forgiving courses for a beginner or someone who is going back out on the course after a long break from the sport. Enjoyed it very much.

Great value!
Course was in overall decent condition. Tees and greens were in good condition. Fairways were okay but they did have several fairway bunkers that were let go and not playable out of.

Good, not great but loved it
Very basic course layout. And flat straight holes. Was in great condition. Greens good and consistent. Tee boxes a little worn (if you placed the tee a yard back it was great grass to hit off of). Never saw the bev cart. Very nice staff. Would play again.

Revisit to Glade Valley
Played GVGC today for the first time in several years. Course is in much better condition now. Thoroughly enjoyed our round today and the beer in the grill afterwards. Pace was excellent at 4:10. Will definitely return to play again.

Great course slow pace
Just had the pleasure of playing 18 here and may I say it's a wonderful course with a greatly maintained grass
But got stuck behind a 4some and had multiple 5 to 10 minute waits to tee off
