About
Nestled in the foothills of the Catoctin Mountains about 15 minutes from Fredricksburg, Glade Valley Golf Club has been selected as a top-100 golf course in the Mid-Atlantic region by Washington Golf Monthly. The Jim Reck design, which opened in 1990, has a nice mix of woods, water, natural habitat and sand traps that will test golfers, but the golf course isn't overly difficult.

Good value
I've Play this course a handful of times. The staff is usually very friendly and for the course the way it's laid out, the way it's maintained, and the price I think it's a pretty good value.

We appreciate Glade Valley golf course, very friendly staff. I think there are areas of the course that could use some attention ,such as mowing more under and around trees. The bunkers could use some up keep. All in all not a bad value. The greens were in very good shape they were well maintained. Some pin placements seemed pretty unfair. I would have no issue recommending Glade Valley as we will play it again soon. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to play the course.

Glade Valley Gorgeous Day
My Dad, Son and a friend played Glade Valley for the first time and LOVED it! They were impressed with the course layout and although the greens still had some aeration marks we totally enjoyed our round. Great value for the money!

Great local course, but tee times aren’t for beginners.
Love the course, it’s very well maintained. Great conditions. Good staff that are helpful.
My biggest issue is that the tee times don’t seem to be structured for beginners. As a beginner, I don’t want to be forced to play with 1-3 other people, with a group 10 minutes behind my group. My most recent time playing, I was paired with 2 others who had a good pace of play, but the group behind us was playing way too fast, sometimes hitting balls within ~10-20 yards of us on some holes.

Immaculately manicured - hmmm
While the course is in better shape than it has been in the past it is nowhere near immaculate. Fairways and greens are in good shape but many bunkers are in sad shape. It’s obvious that work is ongoing on these but it’s hard to justify the fees for the condition of the coursep

Great hometown course.
Great hometown course.. but wouldn't suggest to a friend from an hr or 2 down the road. And that's hard for me to say, because it is my "home" course..
The sand and hard, washed out from sprinklers and never maintained..
the fairways were cut Wednesday, but when sunday got here, they were 3 inches tall and the rough was set to tourney play (5inch rough).. dang near losing your ball in the fairway!
Nice carts!
Driving range was mats only, even though upper twir looked fantastic, so bummer! 45 balls for 10 bucks is a little rough.. but you may get a keeper out of it..
I guess what I'm saying is, play on Wednesday and skip the driving range!

Course was in good shape except for the greens. Guess they aerated them. Otherwise, it was fine. Pace of play was good.

Home course
Glade valley has provided some great upgrades throughout the years. New carts and a decent driving range. The course was in great shape for Maryland in March. The layout is great. 9 is a great shot shaping hole. Looking forward to seeing this course in the spring.

Great course for price!!
Front nine was closed due to being aerated, but was able to play back 9 twice. Course is decent challenge, greens are tough, but is well worth the money to play there! Snack shop wasn't open when finished round st lunch but went to a nice tavern 3 miles away in walkersville.

Winter golf
Tee boxes and fairway in good condition. Greens were a little tough to read as it was just recently aerated. I thought that was usually done in tre fall. Great value though
