About
Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

Good enough
So this course ended up being just right for what I had hoped to accomplish the staff at the front desk checking in were great the coyotes were in good order everything was easy to find the course layout is pretty straightforward there’s not a lot of water to worry about even if you stray left and right you don’t have to worry about losing a ball with all that being said the course is in Less than perfect condition but you can see that the crews are working to bring it up to par it appears there was a lot of cartdamage during the rainy spring season which they are still recovering from I will definitely come back but only at the right price. I was golfing on a Monday afternoon with a couple of newer golf for us so the Fact that the course was not very busy worked in our favor like I said perfect for what it was
I would wait a few weeks to play there it was pretty wet. But overall the course is a great place to golf.
Wet like everywhere else
Greens were good but a lot of flooded areas. Feel lucky being able to play it with all the wet weather. Unfortunately seem some players were not abiding to the no cart areas. Great value for a fun little mini !
Swamp play
Course was under water and should not have been open. For an old course I'm surprised that nothing has been done to improve the drainage.
VERY WET
We have played this course many times and enjoy it. Typically the course is in very nice shape but yesterday was extremely challenging. The course was very wet and the greens had been aerated making consistent putting impossible. If I had a suggestion it would be to let folks know the condition of the course before they book. The price was reasonable but the conditions were rough
Despite heavy rains earlier in week
First time playing this course and it was cart path only due to the heavy rains earlier in the week,that being said it was a good day to keep the ball out of the heavy wet rough(we all do that,right)despite the condition I thought the course was in pretty darn good shape,the front plays straight forward what you see is what you get.The back on the other hand needs to be played a few times because of the elevation changes and doglegs making a little tricky for a first timer.The staff was friendly and accommodating,I will definitely be back again.
First time playing here, very forgiving course. Couple tough greens but overall fun course to play.
Rain screwed up most of the wmass courses. Crappy late July early August had the fairways in bad shape. No one to blame but mama nature
Terrible condition
There was mud in the middle of almost every fairway very poor conditions most of the course greens were ok “meal” that was included when booking through golf now was a joke woman working the bar was rude overall I don’t think I’ll be going back this year
Challenging but worth the play
Course was wet but good. Back 9 was more challenging than the front. I look forward to playing there again.
Course is fun to play
Agawam CC is a great course for all skill levels. Early start during the week Gary’s you nice steady pace of play. Enjoy playing there

Agawam golf course was a joy to play.Most Fairways were forgiving.The others were if you can hit a straight 150 yard shot ,gives you a managable second shot.I played with the same ball the whole found.Greens were nice, not real big.I will go back real soon.Friendly person at pro shop.Inexperience golf fees.Please come and play.I believe you will be happy.There were some very challenging holes with some picturest views.I loved it.
needs work
I've enjoyed this course in past years has every year was a big Improvement.... it's sad to see how bad the greens are now not sure what happened .... last year they were in good shape ...but they need lots and lots of work this year... hope they sort it out
Great Vakue
Fairways were in great shape. Greens had MANY divits which made them very difficult to play. They really need to work on that.
Great bang for the buck. Would definitely go back and see if the greens are fixed up a little better.
Surprisingly, the carts have GPS! Plenty of beer choices, not so much for liquor but they have the basics. Food choices are basic but very clean.
At least give it a try, I think all in all you'll be happy!
Rough
Course was in good condition with the rough cut low enough to find your ball. Greens were slow and very grainy. Last time we played this course we spent a lot of wasted time trying to find balls just off the fairway in high rough. Really slow down play then.
