About
Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

Rain screwed up most of the wmass courses. Crappy late July early August had the fairways in bad shape. No one to blame but mama nature
Terrible condition
There was mud in the middle of almost every fairway very poor conditions most of the course greens were ok “meal” that was included when booking through golf now was a joke woman working the bar was rude overall I don’t think I’ll be going back this year
Challenging but worth the play
Course was wet but good. Back 9 was more challenging than the front. I look forward to playing there again.
Course is fun to play
Agawam CC is a great course for all skill levels. Early start during the week Gary’s you nice steady pace of play. Enjoy playing there
Great course
Agawam golf course was a joy to play.Most Fairways were forgiving.The others were if you can hit a straight 150 yard shot ,gives you a managable second shot.I played with the same ball the whole found.Greens were nice, not real big.I will go back real soon.Friendly person at pro shop.Inexperience golf fees.Please come and play.I believe you will be happy.There were some very challenging holes with some picturest views.I loved it.
needs work
I've enjoyed this course in past years has every year was a big Improvement.... it's sad to see how bad the greens are now not sure what happened .... last year they were in good shape ...but they need lots and lots of work this year... hope they sort it out
Great Vakue
Fairways were in great shape. Greens had MANY divits which made them very difficult to play. They really need to work on that.
Great bang for the buck. Would definitely go back and see if the greens are fixed up a little better.
Surprisingly, the carts have GPS! Plenty of beer choices, not so much for liquor but they have the basics. Food choices are basic but very clean.
At least give it a try, I think all in all you'll be happy!
Rough
Course was in good condition with the rough cut low enough to find your ball. Greens were slow and very grainy. Last time we played this course we spent a lot of wasted time trying to find balls just off the fairway in high rough. Really slow down play then.

Great venue!
Agawam Golf Course is the best value for the dollar in our area. The layout is challenging, the staff is friendly, and the new head pro, Tommy DiRico, is a good friend and an asset to the golf course. I’ve played there for 40 years, and I love playing there with my sons.
Hole No. 17
Hole No. 17 is the most challenging hole on the course.
Nice course. Well maintained.
I had a tee time at 11:04. I showed up at 10:30 and they let me go out right away with another single. I play this course often and enjoy every round because of the people and the consistent course maintenance.
Nice fun round
I grew up playing this course so I know every nook and cranny of it but it's a fun course to play. Perfect for beginners (mostly wide open) and fun for talented golfers because you could put up some really good scores here.
Nothing amazing about the course just a fun, easy course to play for all skills.
Great value
Agawam Golf Course is the best value in our area. The staff is friendly, and golfers throughout WMass know that this is a great place to play.
