Agawam Municipal Golf Course has been a favorite among local golfers since first opening in 1944. It has a traditional layout that offers a few challenges but it's still player friendly enough for golfers of any skill levels. The holes are fairly straightforward but the gently rolling hills provide some subtly tricky elevation changes. There isn't any water on the golf course but there are mature trees lining the fairways. While it may not be what you're looking for if you're an avid golfer who wants a truly formidable test, Agawam Municipal Golf Course is not to be under-estimated. The greens can be tricky to pitch to and accuracy will take you far. This municipal course is a great spot for a quick and casual round that's also affordable.

Pleasant Surprise
Wide open course but enough trees to penalize you if you stray off the fairway.
Greens had subtle breaks that make up for the lack of slope.

Great Value
Great value for your buck at Agawam, course is getting better with new superintendent. Greens are in fantastic shape and Tom and his staff excellent in customer service.

Course closed
They closed the course with no notification. Many players were waiting to get in and no one called or notified us. The gates were locked and no sign was posted

The course was a little soggy in places from a weekend of rain. But the Greens were as fast as I have ever seen them you couldn't stop the ball near a couple of pins no matter how hard you tried. The people here are tremendous. They should have a refreshment cart on the course. I don't understand why they don't.

Excellent greens
The greens are in great condition. Despite the excessive rainfall this spring, the staff is doing a great job making the course very playable. Tom is the very best at customer service
