Pro shop management excellent very friendly and helpful.
Snack area very much overpriced bring your own beer
Course conditions very good for this time of year
Friendly 18
Played 18 with several members , course was in great shape for March. Will def be back to play again.

A nice hilly track with elevated greens. The course consists of challenging greens but balances with forgiving fairways. Well maintained and well worth the money in the beautiful town of Hingham.
Every club in the bag
I’ve been playing SSCC for 20+ years. It’s a true test of golf. While not the longest course, it makes you work for every shot. They do a wonderful job maintaining the greens, most which slope back to front (keep the ball below the hole!!!) They have been improving the course steadily for the last 5-6 years, adding additional tee boxes, sand traps, and even a few greens modifications. Personally, I enjoy having different looks at certain holes because they frequently change the placement of the tees. I’ll usually get to hit almost every club in the bag, and the layout allows for creativity. The maintenance of the tees/greens/fairways is on point(let’s be fair, there was a moderate drought almost all season). It’s been a challenging year to make tee times so plan accordingly and in advance. In addition, with the amount of traffic the course sees on a daily basis, they do a great job managing the course across the board. The gentlemen in the pro-shop are always polite and welcoming to members and non-members alike. Most importantly in today’s world, they immediately and thoroughly disinfect all the carts upon return. A closing piece of advice: there’s a lot of false fronts and elevated greens so club up accordingly!

Tee boxes were in rough shape, lot of maintenance going on that roped off certain areas in play, and the staff at the entrance to check in and get a cart was very rude. Overall the course is gorgeous and would be great when conditions are better, but for now just an average from me
Rain Day!!!!
Not a single person besides the 4 morons that decided to still play...those 4 being myself and my foursome. Everyone got a cart. Pace of play was amazing, as no one was there. Course conditions, with it being rainy and gross ALL day, were STILL stellar. Greens were in amazing shape and recovered well from aeration. The fairways and rough were in good shape as well. Will be playing here again
Good course
Nice course in the South Shore. Pace of play was OK. Got a deal on GolfNow. Price was good. Playing partners were nice guys who are regulars here, so they knew the course layout and were helpful. Course layout was challenging due to the hilly conditions. Staff was very friendly.
Over Priced, Horribly Kept
Way over priced, course is in horrific shape
Three courses in Plymouth are cheaper and much more fun to play. I will never play there again.
Nice course but not worth the money
I was excited to play South Shore Country Club as it's so hard to get a decent tee time as a non-member. It's pretty clear that the staff knows when the members are done and the public can play because they were very rude and the starter/check in process was a pain. The actual course is nice. The greens were challenging and extremely well maintained, and the course offered unique challenges on each hole. The pace of play was painfully slow (over 5 hours for 18 holes). Overall it was an enjoyable round, but there are similarly nice courses for less money and less of a hassle in the area.
Rate structure
Made a time for a twosome via golf now for $59 pp. Upon arrival at the course, we find out from the assistant pro that we could have booked directly thru the pro shop for senior rate of $45! Nice course, fun layout, highly recommend taking a cart. Greens ran true and fast. Next time playing here will not use the golf now app as it is much cheaper to book directly.
