South Shore Country Club

Great course, Great Value, the greens were in excellent and more important consistent shape. It almost seemed like every hole was uphill but then again a great value and a great outing.

Would I play there again, definitely.

Can get crowded but of course it can- it’s accesible and a great rolling wooded challenge for the average to good golfer.

One of my favorite layouts in Massachusetts. Wide fairways, some dog legs, and my favorite, very few blind shots. Green rolls great today. One piece of advice is keep the ball below the hole.

Once again south shore country club was in great shape . I played at 9:30 in the morning with three friends who all enjoyed the layout, while noticing how well maintained the course was . All the greens were in great shape , putting is always fast and just trust your speeds. Will certainly be back soon, need every club in the bag.

This course was in great condition at a great price for walking on a Sunday. The greens were consistent and challenging with considerable slope. The fairways and bunkers were neat and well maintained. Don’t be fooled by the yardage there are a lot of hills making for positional tee shots and elevation changes on approach shots.

Fairways are great, rough is penal but not out of control (the way it should be), and greens are firm and fast with a lot of slope (makes the short par 4's and reachable par 5 (18th hole) still challenging to birdie). Bring a range finder with slope and you'll see a lot of half club to full club changes due to the many hills you'll need to navigate. I walked and carried (since I can't get to the gym anymore since it's golf season) and it was ok but most would prefer to save their legs and back and opt for the cart or push cart. Be sure to warm up on their practice green to get a feel for their green speeds and slope. The hot deal was an incredible value!

I have played South Shore Country Club many times however yesterday‘s round was exceptional because of the condition of the greens & fairways . The superintendent has done a tremendous job getting all 18 greens very fast and very true . I play a lot of golf and really enjoy good greens, so yesterday’s. Greens were awesome . The fairways were in perfect shape & the rough was lush and very thick. My son & I had a good round each & were happy with conditions yesterday . This course is definitely one of the best south of Boston that the public are able to play .

Majority of day was spent waiting on tee boxes and fairways due to terrible management of tee times. Starter had an attitude which seems to be the norm at this place and it made for a horrible round. I think I’ll take my money elsewhere going forward. Probably the the fourth time in last two years I’ve had this experience.

It was a beautiful fall day for golf. The course was in good shape for fall golf. It was not in the same condition expected in prime season. Pace of play was fine. The staff was helpful. I would play again.
