Tough Test
Walkable old course with some excellent holes. Difficult greens with speed and contouring. Two putting is a real victory on many holes. Good conditions. Friendly. A lot of clubs need to be good for you to score here. Poor tee shots cost you 2 on many holes. Approach shots are tricky, especially when you know how tough putting can be from certain spots. It beat me up pretty good yesterday, but I will come back and settle my score with Seggy.
Fun place to play
Segregansett is a lot of fun. Course was not as nice as it usuallly is but it had bee 90+ degrees for overa week straight so very understandable. Course needs a ranger or two or a starter to pair up groups. We had a solo player behind us and (2) twosomes behind us. The solo player was on usthe whiole front 9. He was only going to play 12 holes so he joined us as a five-some for holes 10-12. Five-somes are bad but w/ the pace of play being slow, it did not matter for a few holes. Segregansett should tell people where to park their carts on holes because a few holes are on top of each other and carts can actually be in yoursightline on tee shots (9th tee, 10th hole in particular). If people parked in the right spot, it would not be an issue but many golfers do not know the correct place to park. BUt all in all, great value and a really good course with great greens.
Worth the Trip
From check in...to the fairways ...to the greens...just a good day all around...
Check in was easy and plenty of carts prepped
The fairways well maintained as evidenced by the rolls on tee shots
The greens ran true and went through their normal progression of speeding up as they evaporated the dew of the early morning

Love seggy always a challenge.

Worth playing
Nice track, greens Rolled nice. Plenty of trees but wide enough to stay out of trouble with ball placement. Some very cool holes including a par three where you tee off on one side of street and the green is on the other.Will play it again
All around great deal...
Course was in excellent condition. The greens rolled nicely although they could have been a little quicker.
The course provides plenty of variety and challenges.
Will definitely return to play again.
Classic Seggy
I have loved Seggy for years. This is a golfer's golf course. The holes vary wonderfully and the layout makes you think. It can be short, it can be long. The par 5's are each unique, all great. The course is always in great shape and the staff is tremendous. It is one of my favorites!

Great course in excellent condition! Very interesting and challenging layout.Greens are fast and true. Pins were tough today with variable winds.Bring your A game .. first cut off fairway was 2inches !
Windy&Wet
Enjoyed the first 14 holes got rained out on 15th,staff friendly,greens nice, dining not open due to covid, but they always have great food here.

Staff great very welcoming. Course is walkable if that’s your thing. Pace was great .. greens in great shape. Good value.
Hidden Gem
Never played here before. Wonderful course, challenging layout, and the greens were fantastic. Can't wait to come back

Very challenging course. Some blind driving holes.Greens were fast,hard to hold but true. Fairways were perfect.Wonderful classic course and great experience. Can’t wait for next round here!
excellent course - great layout and in very good shape
Great day of golf
Course was in spectacular shape. Layout is challenging but fair, if it's your first time a GPS will be helpful as there are a couple blind hazards. Maintenance crew was very good about stopping for your shots, always appreciated. The greens are well protected but ran very true. Fantastic value and will definitely be back.
